About this country house rental
This attractive self contained apartment adjoining the 'Podere la Fonte' has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en suite). Apart from the living room, it is possible to enjoy time in the kitchen-dining room where there is a wood burning fire (in addition to the central heating throughout), one more reason not to rule out a stay in the autumn or winter when perhaps you can witness or take part in the wine and olive harvests and enjoy the taste of mushrooms and the lovely colors of our surrounding woodland. But if you prefer the warm months, then you will enjoy plenty al fresco eating on your patio fitted with table and chairs under the walnut tree reserved for your own use. This may be just what you need after a trip to the nearby sandy Tuscan beaches which we find have a great pull on our guests.
Public tennis court (to be booked locally), 5 minutes walk. Nice natural pool in the river Cecina for splashing at ten minutes by car. Nature reserves nearby. There is always something of interest happening in this area, the heart of Tuscany. The accommodation is most comfortable in all weathers so why not consider a holiday here in the autumn or winter as well as spring and summer!
Podere La Fonte is a working farm as well as tourist residence (“Podere” is Italian for farm). The main products are olives and grapes which are grown organically and made into wine and olive oil on the farm. The wine and oil may be purchased from the farm shop and is both delicious and good value. Emanuela also creates herbal tea infusions and a number of jams from the fruit trees on the farm.

A wonderful experience. The beauty of the land surrounding the Podere la Fonte is to say the least stunning. A sense of peace and serenity immediately embrace you here. Emanuela and Marco the owners are amazing people in love with the land and totally dedicated to make your stay easy and comfortable. The village of Radicondoli is just few steps up the road where you can enjoy a cappuccino with a brioche and cultural events.. My husband and I and our two cats felt happy and totally fulfilled by the experience so much that we decided to extend our stay. Overall exceeding expectations. It is a place which connects you to your humanness and the heart. Thank you deeply!

We had a wonderful stay at La Fonte, enjoying the quiet and relaxation under the walnut tree, the terrific hospitality of Emanuela and Marco, the proximity to the nearby village and the convenient location to a lot of places in Tuscany. If you are looking for all of this (and also want to support a family-run organic farm), La Fonte is the perfect place.
Marco and Emanuela were great hosts, very welcoming and attentive. They also gave us great local
suggestions (including a nearby farm, where we could buy excellent cheese), restaurants and places to see. Besides the very good bio wine they produce, lots of fruit and vegetables are grown on the farm which we also could use for our dinners.
We highly recommend La Fonte and look forward to returning in the near future

Hieno ja pittoreski paikka Toscanan kauniissa maisemassa, lähellä oikeaa ja toimivaa Radicondolin pikkukaupunkia. Me vieraat, kaksi suomalaista eläkeikäistä pariskuntaa, olimme paikalla 11 päivää, mikä tuntui sopivalta ajalta. Meistä vieraista tuli melkein kaupungin asukkaita, kaupungissa kauppa ja kolme ravintolaa. Kaupungin urheilukentän yhteydessä on myös kaksi hyväkuntoista tenniskenttää, jotka vapaasti myös turistien käytettävissä, pelasimme neljä jännittävää nelinpeliä... Isäntäväki Emanuel ja Marco ottivat meidät lämpimästi vastaan ja kertoivat tilansa ekologisesta viljelystä, tilan tuotteista öljystä ja viinin valmistuksesta. Mahdollisuus myös ostaa tilan tuotteita, jonka myös teimme. Isäntäväki todella lämminhenkisiä ja avuliaita.
Paikasta oli myös mielenkiintoista tehdä omalla autolla päiväretkiä Toscanan mainekkaisiin turistikaupungeihin, Siena, Firenze, Lucca, Volterra ja Grosseto.

Our stay at "il Noce della Fonte" was beautyful. It is ideal for two couples as each bedroom has its own bathroom.Unfortunately we only had one week.The charm of the house, the garden with many small seat-options and our apartement we liked a lot. It is very quiet. So exactly what stressed urbanites need to relax.Since we liked it so much we were only once the whole day on the way. Most of the time we prefered to rest under the walnut tree and made smaller detour explorations. In Radicondali, which is reached after a short walk (10 minutes) you get the bare minimum.Larger supermarkets can be reached by car about 20 /30 minutes.
Cheese is best bought directly from the producer in the area.
The olive oil from Emanuella and Marco is delicious.You should take something home with you.The housewine is also very good.Since we were there by plane, unfortunately we only took the oil.
CONCLUSION: We can definitely recommend this beautyful place.
