Huoneisto oli upea ja kattoterassi kruunasi kaiken. Sijainti oli loistava ja tunnelma vanhassa luostarissa ihana, kadulta ja ulkoapäin ei olisi voinut uskoa miten ihana ja viihtyisä asunto sisältä löytyy.

Sehr zentrale Lage (Altstadt), alle interessanten Locations sind zu Fuß erreichbar; auch Haltstellen für den Flughafentransfer. Die Wohnung umfasst 2 Stockwerke. Küche und Dachterrasse sind im oberen Stockwerk. Die Dachterrasse ist ein Traum und völlig uneinsichtig. Nachts ist es erstaunlich ruhig, wir konnten sehr gut schlafen. Manfredi ist ein sehr liebevoller Gastgeber, der sehr gute Ausgehtipps liefert. Danke. Die Stadt Palermo ist einfach unglaublich. Pittoreske Gassen und Plätze, tolle Restaurants und Food-stände und Straßenmärkte mit reichhaltigen und hochwertigen Angeboten . Kommt selbst und staunt. Italy at it's best.
Die Bialetti-Kaffemaschine braucht spezielle Cups; sind nicht überall erhältlich. Achtung, die mit Aluminium-Bezug kaufen.

The apartment is lovely. Very modern. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything, except a corkscrew/bottle opener.
The stairs. This is just a personal opinion from my wife and I, but we thought that they were steep and could see one of us missing a step and falling, which my wife nearly did on the 3rd last step but she caught herself in time
Now we booked for a 6 night stay but we asked Manfredi over on the 2nd day to discuss this.
He said he had older people than us in their 70"s and older and he had no complaints. Well fair play to them.
We are in our 60's and struggled. So he only charged us for two nights, again fair play, and we left on the 3rd day. But it was very difficult to find a place for 4 nights at such short notice and put a damper on our trip to Palermo. Manfredi said it clearly states that the kitchen is upstairs but it doesn't. So we didn't want to take the chance of falling. Plus getting to the apartment with 2 heavy suitcases over a lot of cobblestones then down and up steps was very arduous down a dodgy area, particularly at night, is not ideal.
A pity. We love Palermo.this was our third visit and maybe Manfredi took it personal against Palermo? No such thing. Going up and down those stairs just to make a cup of tea was just too much to bear . We're Irish and love our tea.
