Luxury Apartment Palazzo Vannucci

The apartment is in a delightful, large, old house which has been owned by Manfredi’s family for 4 generations. It is a beautiful, tranquil, oasis from the bustle of the city. Very central, and presenting easy access to all of the Centro Storico. Our apartment was on the top floor, so there were plenty of stairs to climb. Up a wonderful wide marble staircase, followed by a short steep wooden staircase. We are over 90, so if we can manage it, most people should be able to. The apartment itself was beautifully presented and very comfortable, and most importantly, very quiet. A small balcony provides access to the outside, but the air conditioning makes it cool and comfortable, even when it’s 36C . Manfredi is a super host. An excellent communicator, who responded very quickly to all our requests for help, and who immediately supplied items which we felt were needed. He is passionate about his home, and does everything he can to make his visitors feel the same. This was our first experience of Sicily, and Palermo is quite a culture shock. It is elegant, frenetic, and very noisy. Getting your orientation can be difficult because there are so many tiny streets. Restaurants can be hit and miss, so it’s best, as always, to avoid eating on the main tourist streets. Manfredi directed us to Pizzeria Bollicine, which was really excellent food at a good price, and became our main choice for evening meals. This apartment is one of the most beautiful stays we’ve ever had for our vacation. Location as perfect starting line to discover Palermo with coffee serving excellent breakfast right next door, restaurants and bars steps away. Talking about real places, not overpriced, overhyped tourist baits. I’ve been traveling a lot but Luxury Apartments is a real GEM. Clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. You don’t miss anything to make your stay shine and feel pampered. Manfredi was waiting for us and you feel so warmly welcomed. Everything is better than expected
