Treetops Cottage

It’s impossible to list what we liked, since everything is perfect.

Maybe an oven would be a great implementation.

We recently stayed at Treetops Cottage and found it to be a very clean and well-presented property. The cottage itself is comfortable and in a lovely location. However, we did encounter a couple of issues that we feel potential guests should be aware of. The marketing for the property led us to believe that the cottage offered uninterrupted sea views from a pool area. In reality, the main house, occupied by the owners and their family during our Christmas stay, has the prime view and pool access. While we were offered pool use upon arrival, it felt a little awkward given the family gathering. Additionally, the listing explicitly stated "no feather pillows," but we discovered all pillows and duvets were feather. Both my daughter and I have allergies, and it was only after we inquired that we were provided with synthetic alternatives. The presence of the owners' two cats, who also used the cottage and slept on the beds, further exacerbated our allergies, requiring us to take antihistamines throughout our stay. Despite these points, the owners were helpful, providing the necessary pillows and allowing us to leave our bags on checkout day. Treetops Cottage is a pleasant place to stay, but we'd advise future guests to be mindful of potential discrepancies between the online marketing and the actual experience.

Misleading marketing information

Such a lovely and cosy place to stay, in a quiet location though near several nice places to visit (Noordhoek Beach, restaurants and malls nearby, ...). Peter & Maureen are absolutely lovely people. The cottage is spacious enough and is guaranteed to be an enjoyable experience. We certainly recommend staying here.

These are just minor things, but as a someone with back issues I did had some discomfort with some of the mattresses. Some might be due for an update. At night, sometimes, we did experience some noises of small animals running across the roof, which of course it difficult to avoid.
