The Space:
Welcome to our stunning waterfront retreat! This luxurious and spacious home is the perfect getaway for families, groups, or friends looking to relax and unwind in comfort. With 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, this beautiful home can comfortably sleep up to 14 guests. Private Lake AND Mountain Views!
Upstairs(main level), you'll find four elegantly designed bedrooms. Bedroom 1 and 2 each have a luxurious king bed and a convenient walk-in closet. Bedroom 3 and 4 feature comfortable queen beds and ample storage space in their walk-in closets. Additionally, downstairs you'll find Bedroom 5 with two cozy twin beds and Bedroom 6 with a king bed. For extra sleeping arrangements, there's a queen pullout sofa in the lower level common area.
Our fully stocked kitchen is a chef's dream, complete with top-of-the-line appliances, a Nespresso machine, and a drip coffee pot. It's perfect for preparing delicious meals and enjoying them in the dining area or outdoors on the patio. Speaking of outdoors, you'll also have access to a wonderful cornhole set, a wood-burning firepit with seating for cozy evenings, and a 7 person hot tub with Bluetooth speakers for ultimate relaxation.
If you're feeling adventurous, 2 paddleboards with life jackets are included for your enjoyment on the serene Allen Lake. Spend your days gliding across the water and taking in the breathtaking views. The property also features a private dock, perfect for fishing or simply enjoying the tranquil surroundings. TONS of nearby hiking trails and white water rafting!
Indoor entertainment options are plentiful in this home. Kick back and relax in front of the 55-inch smart TV in the upstairs great room, master bedroom, or the lower living room. We have a record player + a few records for your use! Feel free to bring your own records to listen to as well :) For a cinematic experience, head to the movie theater area complete with a shuffleboard, screen TV, darts, and mini basketball. If you prefer old-fashioned fun, a selection of board games is included for your enjoyment.
This home is perfect for families with young children as well. We provide a high chair and pack n play, making it easy for you to travel with your little ones. There are also door chimes on every exterior door for added safety.
Bring your furry friends along for a small fee of $125 per stay (up to 2 dogs). We kindly ask that all dogs are crate trained and that you clean up after them.

Overall I can say that we were extremely happy with this property. The location is ideal for all that we wanted to do and it accommodated our family very nicely. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean.

I had a challenge to find a property that could house 12-14 comfortably. My family is spread out, some in New York, some in Tennessee. We don’t often get to be together as a group, especially now that my elderly mother is in assisted care.What a nice surprise to find a large cabin on a lake, yet with privacy. It isn’t just on a lake, it is tucked between two streams that flow into the lake!We utilized the provided kayaks, enjoyed the fire pit. At night the beaver swam around, easy to spot.While we heeded the warning to bring SUV/4x4. We found the gravel road well maintained and no doubt a smaller vehicle could make it to the cabin. That said, there are a few places that had new gravel, I assume some areas can flood after a powerful rainstorm. So smaller cars, at your own risk!The cabin itself is expansive, plenty of spaces and bedrooms to hide. The theater room is nice, it also games to be played. I loved that there were books all over the house:). The beds are very comfortable. Better than I have at home:). The kitchen is huge and well stocked.Importantly, the place was clean and maintained. Oh- also very good communication was available.The cabin is also well located, easy highway access, between Elijay and Blue Ridge. So much to do in the area!I did struggle with ultilizing the entry code. That was more of a me issue than anything.In short, we absolutely would rent this space again. What a gift it was to my family:)

Really great, private property an easy and quick drive from Blue Ridge. It's hard to pick a highlight - we enjoyed the movie room and game room and used the hot tub all hours. We barely went into town because the cabin was so great. It was thoughtfully stocked for coffee drinkers and oh so very clean. You might need to be careful with the stairs right after rain.I'm not sure what another reviewer was talking about with the check in process. There was no check in process - they just messaged me the code and instructions and that was it. They even messaged when we got there to make sure we didn't need anything.Anyway this is a great listing that I hope doesn't go up too much in price, because I want to go back! (:

The house was nice, but not set up for large groups. There were not enough chairs for everyone to sit together in one room. I would suggest getting folding chairs for the basement. The kitchen could have been better stocked as well. But we were disappointed before we even arrived because we have been renting homes for our retreats for several years on a monthly basis.This particular home has an owner, a manager and then they have partnered with a company called SUPERHOG. Only 2 weeks before our actual stay, we hear from this company and have to sign all kinds of paperwork submitting ourselves to the courts of London and Wales should something go wrong in the house. What?? When I inquired about this they assured me not to worry because they never had to take anyone to court before. They also required me to pay an extra $50 insurance fee even though I already paid the optional fee to VRBO. They also could not arrange a one hour earlier check in time until 24 hours before we arrived. What? I had to communicate with 14 people about that at the very last minute. And then the icing on the cake was when the master bathroom was infested with ladybugs. They lined the ceiling for the most part but there was one morning they were all in our stuff- hairbrushes, towels etc. When reached out to the house manager, she said she would have someone come take care of it. They never showed up. She did give us a small refund for our trouble. This was our first and last time to use this house.
