The best hostel in Morocco! All the staff & volunteers are great people (Shoutout Anas) and same with the guests. This hostel seems to attract only the best people. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Tangier, you wont want to leave. Everything exceeded all expectations, the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and rooftop terrace. If you staying in Tangier, look no further, just book Dar Gara!

Dar Gara is right in the old medina of Tangier, but it is close to the edge so you don't have to wander too far to get to it. Note that it is not direcrly accessible by vehicle, so your taxi will drop you off and you will have to walk in. The staff is very helpful if you need to make transportation arrangements. The rooftop terrace is beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. The shared bathrooms were also spotlessly clean.

The staff was lovely and welcoming, the breakfast was nice (although very average for moroccan standards), the location was good.
Our room was very humid and cold, probably due to rainy days, it's a serious health risk to stay in that room. They provided a temporary heater, but that wasn't able to help much. There was intense sewage smell in some places in the morning. The wifi did not work well.
