From the minute we checked in I knew I made the right hotel choice....rooms and public rooms were gorgeous and the location was perfect! Thank you for the little cake for my friend such a nice touch and loved the later checkout
The bar was busy so getting drinks was slow although server was very nice .....not sure i got the $150 off 75x2 for our bar bill.....I booked 2 rooms

Guys, The Pendry really do get it totally right. I got a 1 bed large suite for 6 nights and the rooms are huge. Like a home away from home. It was basically a luxury AirBnB inside a 5 star hotel with all the luxury hotel amenities and service you would expect. The check in process was like nothing ive seen before and ive been everywhere. I was done in 30 seconds. Mind blown. The bar scene is awesome. Gets very lively Friday and Saturday. Food at SET restaurant incredible. Honestly I cant say a bad word about the property, the staff and the experience. Exceptional. Is it expensive? No. You get what you pay for in my opinion.

The property itself is pretty nice. Common area is well designed, rooms are comfortable.
1. The way the hotel handles credit cards& payments is a disaster. I paid $1800 security deposit when checked in, but in the following days multiple pre-authorized payments were processed for no reason. Three different staffs at the front desk I spoke with told me they were gonna correct these mistakes, which they didn’t. The invoice I received before check out has too many errors on it, and again my credit card was charged before anyone could assist me with that. Still waiting for refund, it’s a mess.
2. Service is slow, this includes valet parking, housekeeping and basically everything else you need help with.
3. Staffs are friendly, but not too friendly to make you feel genuinely welcomed.

**My Experience with the Hotel:**
Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from comfortable due to a troubling and suspicious experience with the front desk and financial management team.
At check-in, one of the staff members took my credit card and placed it under the desk—out of my sight—which immediately struck me as unusual. Later, I began receiving notifications of multiple unauthorized charge attempts from the hotel. It’s worth noting that I had used this card **only once** to pay for a single service, as I typically use a different card for all other transactions.
After those failed attempts, I received an email from the hotel claiming that I had an outstanding balance—something that seemed to me like an attempt to cover up the failed charges. When I asked for an invoice, they sent me a copy of a bill I had **already paid**, which raised further concerns.
What added to my frustration was the persistent, repeated messages that appeared more like pressure tactics than genuine attempts to resolve the issue transparently.
Upon reviewing my bank account, I discovered **more than six unauthorized charge attempts**. Eventually, I received an apology from a staff member named **Lauren**, but I found it to be insincere and inadequate, especially given that the situation, in my view, amounted to **an unethical and unprofessional attempt at fraud**.
I strongly advise all future guests to **never let their credit cards out of sight**, to review all financial transactions carefully, and to exercise caution when dealing with the front desk or financial department at this hotel.
**In short: the experience was unsettling, the conduct unprofessional, and I’ve completely lost trust in this hotel—despite its good location, I will not be returning.**

Room service breakfast was good, the grilled chicken sandwich for a late-night snack was really good. and we dined at SET, it was nice but extremely loud so don't go on a busy night for intimate conversation. And make sure to choose outdoor especially if dining at night. The pool was nicely heated and the jacuzzi at night with the fireplace on was lovely. And there is a "host" bar and fridge, in your room but only for looking lol otherwise you may get a "surprise" on your departure, easily overturned. Had a great time, went for a concert nearby for the weekend and will be back to experience the spa.

The location was great, restaurant set steak and sushi was great, had a lovely time at the bar.
I didn’t like the service, I’ve stayed at the montage in laguna beach and felt extremely taken care of, coming to the pendry I expected the same but felt such different treatment. The room door knob had been broken when we walked in, the bathroom shower door had to be forcefully pushed to get open. To pay around 600 dollars for a hotel room and experience that is extremely unsettling. I enjoyed my stay but it was difficult to enjoy my stay when dealing with that.
