8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
I was running from a storm and found this hotel as I approached Choshi by car. Was a last minute booking and hence no breakfast or dinner could be catered for me. Nevertheless i paid a great price for a room that faced the sea AND the Choshi light house, had a great comfy 'themed' onsen and a nice japanese style room. Manager referred me to a seafood restaurant nearby and boy was it great!
Nothing much really. If you don't drive this might be a bit of a pain to get to but i hear that they do provide transport from the nearby train station. overall, I was pleased with what i paid for despite not manging to get a half board.

Fantastic location looking over the Pacific with great rocks in foreground and lighthouse to the left. Room was large - about 10 tatami mats with nice seating by the picture window
The property is dated, probably 70s. Aircon unit was disgusting. CLEAN IT. Basin was cracked and badly repaired. Meals are pre-order only - nearest supermarket about 7 minutes drive
7 / 10Good·Aug 2026
