The Home Collection CLT: Kirkwood Avenue

The neighborhood was charming, and pretty close to Levine Children's Hospital, which was why I chose this unit. The building was old, perhaps built in the 1930's and it had that nostalgic charm. The kitchen had been re-done, which was nice. The king bed was very comfortable. The shower was very comforting at the end of the day and there was plenty of hot water. The bath towels were luxurious, too! The unit was decorated nicely. For an apartment building this old, we never heard anyone else and the off-street parking was welcome!

The fold-out sofa was an awkward style for actual sleeping, but the two children made it work. I would not recommend an adult try to sleep on it. While I was charmed by an older building being still in use, updates must continue to be made and this unit still needed some love. Also, the grounds and parking lot needed leaves removed from everywhere and shrubs kept up better, in my opinion. The second floor porch patio had an artificial grass overlay that was shredded which discouraged going out there. Lastly, the 90 pictures of the unit give an impression of, I don't know, "more" than it is. You can't really tell which kitchen goes with which living room and which bedroom. They must feature all the rooms in all the 8 units! Very confusing!
