Good Staff, Poor Room Facilities

The staff at this hotel are very good, friendly, and helpful, which I really appreciated.

However, the facilities need improvement. The air conditioner was not working properly, the pillows were not clean, and there was no hairdryer available. Also, there was no place to hang clothes inside the wardrobe. Overall, the staff is a strong point, but the hotel facilities should be improved for a better stay.I’m sharing photos to show the real condition, so future guests can make their own decision.

Overall, I would book another stay in Lumbung Sari Hotel Legian.

The location is great if you like to walk and are not afraid to go through dim street corners. Once you get pass through that, the location is actually quite accessible to other establishments (restaurants, stores, etc.) and to Lumbung/Legian Beach. The food is reasonably priced and tasty. The staff are very kind and friendly and will assist you in carrying your luggage since the hotel has a traditional design, therefore, there are no elevators in the property which is 4-storeys high.

The bathroom can be improved since the toilet is too close to the wall and is elevated a bit. The AC was dripping the first night, though this stopped. Otherwise, the property is very serene and if you're into experiencing a different and more traditional type of stay (not the usual uptight hotel infrastructures) then this is the place for you.

Cheap and great location for the money

I liked that the property was away from the main part of Legian but yet still central to everything There were some negatives but overall was good for the price

The service was ok the staff weren’t very helpful at times and there was no iron or hairdryer facilities Not once in my 5 day stay did anyone come to to do room service and I had to ask for things like toilet paper, towels etc Breakfast was confusing also as I asked when it was they said 7am but there was no breakfast and no one explained how it worked even though it was included with my accommodation and I paid extra for it

Pleasant but unusual stay

The room was comfortable. The pool was lovely.

The room didn’t have proper windows, just decorative gaps and no curtains or blinds. So the noises around the hotel traveled into the room especially during a heavy rain at night. The lock for the room door was unusual. We were giving a padlock for locking the circular door handles together when going out and a big wooden wedge for when you are in the room. Don’t bother getting breakfast included because it wasn’t brilliant and Cafe Darling is at the entrance to the hotel and makes fantastic food and drinks.

Bali two week stay

Overall, i liked the location of the hotel and the pool was very refreshing throughout the hot days. It was a good enough hotel for my two week stay in Bali too relax by the pool and on the verandah. Also closby Darling Cafe and Warung Kartini restaurant

This would have been a very nice Bali style hotel a few years back and could be again. Though now it needs maintenance. For me the main issues were that just about everything needed referbishing ie safe not working, shower was very slow and the didn't work etc

Excellent value for money

I was really impressed with my stay here. The price was very cheap, yet everything exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the pool area was great. It’s also in a fantastic location, close to shops and cafés. I would definitely recommend this place—especially for the price.

MEETS MY NEEDS 100%

I have stayed here 4 times in 2 years. It is small, traditional Balanese, wonderful location, very discrete and homley. Its is not perfect but its clean and comfortable. Hot water is good. Pool is clean and safe. Excellent value for money. Every room has a terrace or balcony and no corridors. No lift but support with luggage. I always book ground floor. Fee cancelation and payement on arrival is very convenient. My home away from home in Bali. Stayed at 5 different hotels before this.

Extremely disappointed

Good location Great bed, firm but not hard Fantastic pillows

They knew I was arriving early 12pm. When I got there they said room not ready, come back at 1.30. Fair enough, didn't have a problem with that. When I got back at 1.55, they say room still not ready, we put you in different room, okay. When we get to room, it's still being cleaned, I said I'd wait, they said no it's finished. In the bathroom no soap, and remnants from what looked like man having shave in shower. Next day when I go out put clean room sign up. Room not cleaned. Next day they ask would I like room cleaned, I say yes and please fill body soap. Later that day I had to find someone and ask again for soap, which I got. Still had some whiskers in shower. They did not offer, nor did I ask for the room to be cleaned for the next 4 days. On day 2 I asked for a pool towel, they said don't have, even though I'd seen them in laundry room and on pool chairs. Breakfast.... I wanted pancakes, fruit and tea. 1st day pancakes cold and not cooked properly, 2nd day pancakes still raw inside and runny, 3rd day I asked for bacon, toast and tea. The cup was filthy, it had not been washed, they made me a new one. Even though I'd paid for it, I decided to have breakfast elsewhere after that. Water supplied? I only got it on 1st and 3rd day because that was only time they entered room, I would say to clean but it wasn't

Seen cats walking around in the kitchen on the benches, so didn’t eat there. Bed was so lumpy my feet had a hole to be in, ants in the other bed. Beds extremely firm.

Room more like prison cell than hotel room

The exterior of the hotel.

External appearance is great... BUT: The rooms are very basic, and uninviting. Tiled walls, more like a public toilet or laundry than a hotel room, bright daylight led ceiling light, no bedside light, VERY basic and austere. No ambience whatsoever, just bare bones accommodation. No chair, no bench or table.....closer to prison cell than hotel room. WiFi... drops out., virtually unable to use YouTube or Facebook, just buffering every few seconds . Day two, room not cleaned, old damp towels, no water.. Told by reception, sorry, we didn't clean, ..I asked "why"..no answer, just a smile and "sorry".. So don't expect any cleaning to be done during your stay. Pool towels - there are none, use room towel. Staff, (female receptionist) was officious and unfriendly... like barking orders at another guest that entered the pool after 7pm.. yelling at him OBSERVE THE REGULATIONS!! like a prison guard. Another gripe, you are out all day, return to the hotel wanting to have a swim, if it's after 7pm NO POOL USE!! The photos on the booking site are set up for the picture.....reality is far less impressive. IN SUMMARY I WOULD NOT STAY HERE, MANY OTHER PLACES TO CHOOSE THAT ARE BETTER,

Escape busy life and relax

Very clean rooms and new. Quiet setting amongst rice fields for peaceful sleep. Staff were very attentive. Cleaned room every day. I also forgot to order breakfast the night before for 2 nights but still received breakfast.

Only one thing could be better. Bath had shower hose but couldn't stand up underneath, had to sit down. Good size bath though!

Great Location, Great pool which was warm! Plenty of sun and can buy some beer/water/soft drinks from the reception. Also had good Scooter parking and was quiet

The Bathrooms could have been a bit better, some toilets were running water or had some leakage. Showers not much pressure and could do with an upgrade with shower curtains and drainage. But for the price you play you can’t go wrong at all!

Pre cooked breakfast left out all night at the mercy of the local cats. Still served cold in the morning. Order your breakfast in the morning not the night before to ensure some level of freshness and food safety. A bit under staffed at the moment but is improving. They will get better. Our room wasn't cleaned well especially the bathroom. It was a disgrace after a few days so we cleaned it ourselves after the room was serviced.

A true PALACE Breath takingly beautiful

Firstly Thank you 🙏 to everyone involved in the new renovations. It must have been so satisfying to see your visions become reality. (Only a genius would know taking out a little pool could create such splendour) The builders have done an amazing job with all the new rooms & the adornments on the windows and doors are so striking🦚The buildings glow golden at sunrise & sunset, so gorgeous. I bet it was fun sourcing out the new furnishings. The staff truly love being here❤️and the place is spotless. Be sure to order breakfast as it’s amazing and the pool is heaven
