Sublime flat - Heart of Paris - Le Marais

Good location on a quiet side street … convenient to lots of cafés, restaurants, food stores, bakeries (although touristy - a block away, they seem to be better) + nice park. A lot of interesting shops in the area (fashion, shoes, perfume, chocolate, ice cream, etc). Monoprix is ~10 minutes walk (buy “Source des Pins” if you want low mineral water for tea or coffee). A nicer than average area, with not much car traffic (and what traffic there is, is slow) Elevator! Friendly residents (“bon jour”). Nice size, good layout, nice decor. Many metro stations nearby but all are ~10 minute walk (the nearest bus stop is ~3 minutes walk) We got early check-in. Thank-you!

Internet varied between 2 and 400 Mb/s. Upstairs neighbour makes a lot of noise when walking If we open a window, we get cigarette smoke from random people walking by or from “Rojo” next door, but it's ok after midnight. Lock is a bit flakey. Also, had to ask for a 2nd key in order to get the Nuki app (they should have offered Nuki from the beginning). Cleaning was superficial (e.g., dust in closet, on shelves; cobwebs in corners). Mold in washing machine. Washing machine and dishwasher are cheap-ish (washing machine doesn’t properly do the drain+spin cycle). Also, no instructions - when we asked, manager sent picture showing which setting to use. Crappy clothes drying rack. Not enough dishes (4 plates, 3 bowls, etc) - had to run dishwasher frequently or hand-wash. No dishwasher salt (needed for Paris hard water). The usual things in France - poorly designed toilet and shower, inexplicable heating system, no clothes dryer, ... Nearby Marché des Enfants Rouges is “gentrified” & touristy with only a couple of veggie, fish stores and everything else is eateries (and a bit overpriced). Google reviews in the area aren't dependable ... would have been nice to have a list of the good bakeries, restaurants, vegetable stores, etc.

The apartment is spacious. The location is amazing.

There were problems entering the apartment, we’ve waited for 25 minutes outside the door. No soap, shampoo or hand towel. The mattress wasn’t so good. A bit noisy, there is a bar/ restaurant below the apartment. It would have been nice if it will be more clean.

Sehr schöne, gut ausgestattete und saubere Wohnung mitten im wunderbaren Marais.

Ein neu eröffneter Jugendclub in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft führte zu sehr viel Unruhe und Rauchbelästigung bis tief in die Nacht.

The size of the flat! The snacks and drinks on the kitchen counter top to greet us:) Having a full kitchen with pots and pans, and a washer. The warming towel rack was a serendipity!

There was no top sheet on the bed - only the comforter. There were only Euro Size decorative pillows on the bed - no regular sleeping pillows.
