More on the expensive side but came with a lot of perks. Private onsen, free snacks and drink at the lounge and there was even an allowance given for buying alcohol at the bar worth 4000 yen. Downside is that it is slightly inconvenient to get to especially with luggage, so I recommend taking a cab.

The room was very spacious, well-maintained, and incredibly relaxing. The hotel has a beautiful traditional Japanese style, with yukatas available and tatami mats that really add to the authentic Kyoto experience. We especially loved having a private onsen, a separate bathroom and shower, and excellent amenities including air conditioning, heater, and a humidifier.
The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and spoke good English, which made everything smooth and comfortable. Upon arrival, we were greeted with green tea and sweet treats, and the snack bar offering juice and coffee was a lovely touch. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a ¥2000 complimentary card for alcoholic beverages, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel provides high-quality complimentary supplies such as toothbrushes, skincare items, towels, and bathrobes—everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Location-wise, it’s perfectly situated near Gion, making it easy to explore Kyoto’s popular tourist spots while still feeling peaceful and serene.
Overall, this hotel is super relaxing, beautifully maintained, and unforgettable. We would absolutely stay here again whenever we’re in Kyoto and will definitely recommend it to others.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were amazing especially Yamamoto, the location was perfect. We stayed in a garden ground room. Have the private onsen after a long day of walking was a dream. Don’t think to much book this place!!
