Vertigo Climbing Hostel

I absolutely loved this hostel. I was traveling to Peru from the USA with my sister and niece so we chose the private rooms for our stay which were perfect for us. The entire hostel was very clean and the staff were friendly and very welcoming. We felt very safe here. They have both an outdoor and indoor climbing wall as well as a really good restaurant on-site. They do have a nice kitchen/lounge area too if you prefer to cook your own meals.

The bed was extremely comfy. Shower hot. Everything clean. The owner went the extra mile for me for a late arrival

I booked this because I am a rock climber and was looking forward to the climbing wall advertised. I figured given the price of the room per night the climbing would be included for guests. It was not and was actually more expensive than a day pass at a gym in the United States. This was very disappointing.

We stayed for 3 weeks during low season. There weren't many other guests, so we had a very peaceful stay, could use the community kitchen anytime and store our groceries in the fridge. The room was functional and clean. The hotel & restaurant staff were always polite, friendly and helpful - we felt welcome from the beginning❤️ The boulder area & climbing wall are more on an advanced level but serve the cause. Urubamba itself has a really nice, quiet vibe, some nice cafés, even vegan friendly 👍🏼 All in all, a perfect place to serve as a base to discover the Sacred Valley!
