Really lovely place and perfect stay as a guest at wedding at the castle

I was not told where to get keys to the property. I was told to go to stables which was locked up. When I finally found the cottage I realised the key was in the door. This should have been communicated prior to my arrival

A perfect stay in an idyllic town

Proximity to Bellingham Castle meant we could walk to a wedding we were attending - it was cosy, super clean and a really good stay.

It was perfect for what we needed.

The host let us stay longer as we had a late flight, this massively helped us out!

There wasn’t much instructions on how to leave the property etc. we weren’t sure whether to put all the towels somewhere or strip the beds for example.

Warm and Cosy Stay

Cosy cottage, close to Bellingham castle. The cottage has everything you need and is very comfortable. Lovely greeting by Mark as well.

Perfect little getaway location, a home away from home in serene nature and exclusive, private and gated estate.

The privacy, the nature around it , it had everything we needed in a home. Beautiful fire with wood and coal provided, beautiful nature walk behind Bellingham Castle. Landlords were really lovely, helpful but non intrusive. Will definitely stay again :-) loved the electric gate with phone access control to just enter the estate of little farm villas.

Traumhäuschen im Park mit dem Charme von gestern und dem Luxus von heute

Das Apple Cottage war wunderbar gelegen in einen parkähnlichen Privatgrundstück in direkter Nachbarschaft zum Castle Bellingham. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und hilfsbereit bezüglich Ausflugszielen und Gastronomie-Empfehlungen. Die Küche war hinreichend ausgestattet, es gab Spültabs, Klopapier, Teebeutel, instant Kaffee, Kaffeeweißer, Zucker und portionierter Essig. Entgegen der Beschreibung gab es WLAN. Die Räume waren sehr liebevoll eingerichtet! Das Leitungswasser hatte eine exzellente Qualität (weich und keine Spur von Chlor!). Die parkähnliche Umgebung erinnerte mich an Inspector Barneby.

Das Besteck war so knapp bemessen, das man den Geschirrspüler nach jedem Essen laufen lassen musste, obwohl die Maschine noch lange nicht voll war. Die letzte beiden Nächte hatten wir außen am Haus eine Tausendfüßlerinvasion, von dennen auch einige den Weg in das Haus gefunden hatten, in jedem Zimmer haben wir einige einsammeln müssen. Wahrscheinlich gibt es nur einen kleinen Zeitraum in dem das passiert, schließlich waren es nur zwei der 5 Tage. Der Mobiltelefonempfang war mäßig.
