We were pleasantly surprised by the location and how well appointed the home was! We had a quick stay but it was a great stop and resting location. We walked to dinner at Ferguson’s and had a few pints while caring the Open with the locals. Very friendly and safe spot. Ciara, our host, was especially helpful and kind.

Lovely cottage with everything you need. Stand out feature though is being within 50ft of a sheltered and sandy beach. Local pubs and restaurants served good food. A special call out to the Carlingford brewery

Our third year at The Pilot Station and once again, it was a wonderful holiday.With the best views for sunrise and sunsets (particularly the sunset), The Pilot Station is a great place to set up base and explore the stunning area; we had a truly relaxing and enjoyable two weeks. The scenery is spectacular and the people are very friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of restaurants in the area for brunches, lunches and evening meals, (in no particular order, but would recommend all of them); Strandfield, Carlingford Brewery, Fitzpatricks, Kingfisher Bistro, Cathedral, Jocelyn's, Square, The Clermont, The Brake, Yellow Heifer. Our host, Ciara, is excellent, always helpful and responds very quickly if you have a query.We are very much looking forward to our next visit.

This is a really beautiful home --even nicer than the pictures. The views are absolutely stunning. The home is very comfortable and had everything we needed. There are some restaurants within a short drive and one that can be walked to --as well as a place to grab coffee, pastries, etc. Ciara was very helpful providing some recommendations. I very highly recommend this home.

The location of the house house is perfect. Our daughter had a competition in Dublin so we were commuting into Dublin for a couple of days. We also spent a couple days exploring Northern Ireland which was do able from this location. It's close to Dundalk which pretty much has everything you will. N

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ciara's beautiful home. The pictures don't fully capture the beauty of the home and the area. It is magnificent and Ciara is awesome. She communicated quickly with us regarding check in and check out. We look forward to staying at this property in the future and have recommended it to many others.

We stayed here just for a single night but the location and views were just stunning. A nice change of pace coming from Dublin and really wish we had more time. Extremely cozy environs with everything you could ask for in terms of bedding, bath, and kitchen. Do yourself a favor and book some time here!

Although the accommodation was clean and comfortable and did have an ocean view, the general surroundings were far from what was described or expected for the high price we paid. The exterior and immediate surroundings were pretty unsightly, leaving us quite underwhelmed. Simple basics like paper towel, facial tissues and a coffee maker were not available. The bedrooms have motion sensors that illuminate with almost every movement within the room. We have always had great luck with VRBO, but found this property lacking.

This is an absolutely beautiful property in a gorgeous spot. It's really comfortable and well equipped with views that are to die for from every window. We love swimming and could literally walk out the front door for a dip. There are a couple of great restaurants a short drive away andvthe kitchen is well equipped for nights in.

An amazing location, spectacular sea views, sunrise from the terrace, sunset from the front balcony. The accommodation is extremely well planned, comfortable and relaxing. The Pilot Station is a great place to explore the local area, including fabulous restaurants close by.

Cierra's Ireland home is absolutely perfect for your next trip! I traveled with five guests, including my 2-year-old son, who now can’t stop talking about wanting to go back to the beach. The location is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views that made our stay magical. This was my first trip to Ireland, and I’m already looking forward to staying here again. The rooms were incredibly spacious and spotless. Cierra, the host, was fantastic—super friendly and communicative. She was so accommodating when our plane was delayed, ensuring a smooth check-in even though we arrived past midnight. Thank you so much for everything!

Booked last minute for a weekend with my family. Communication with Ciara was grat from the outset. Ciara replied to some non-house related topics also. The house was superb. Perched pretty much at the end of the harbour wall. Amazing view from every window. Balconies front and back offer shelter from whatever way the wind decides to blow. The inside was spotless, uncluttered and really nicely finished. Ciara had some really nice touches in the house for us on arrival too. Communication was great and timely all the way through to checkout. Great base for exploring Carlingford, Slieve Gullion and the Mourne's. Highly recommend. We'd stay again.

Seriously this place is perfection. It’s so much better than the pictures. The host Ciara was responsive and so nice! The views cannot be beat and it just has this relaxing vibe that makes you feel instantly at home. Very close to Carlingford and Dundalk but feels very private and unique. Worth every penny!

This property could get 10 stars if the ratings went that high. There are water views out of ever window. Two second floor decks. Bedrooms are on the first floor so no lugging luggage to the second floor. Will stay here again next time we are in the area.

Very clean, very comfortable. Great place to enjoy the Irish coastline. Be prepared for lots of swimmers and campers on warm weekends. Ciara’s fresh flowers, welcoming gifts and personal attention were greatly appreciated. You can’t go wrong with this property!

I could go on for days with only good things to say about the Pilot House and Ciara as a hostess. She was incredibly responsive leading up to our delayed check in (our fault) and remained flexible, staying patient with us along the way. When we finally arrived, there was wine and a basket of treats, coffee and teas to welcome us…exactly what we needed after a long day. The location is perfect; right on the water and in a quiet neighborhood where everyone you pass on the street is pleasant and welcoming. The view of the Irish Sea is spectacular the house is set up in a way to maximize the viewing experience. The interior is incredibly clean and has all the amenities you could want. The beds were super comfortable and we had some of the best sleep on our trip during this stretch. We traveled around all of Ireland over a 10 day stretch and our only regret is that we didn’t spend more time at The Pilot House. We enjoyed our stay immensely and are already talking about when we should return. Book The Pilot House, you’ll be glad you did.
