New hotel, has a great gym.

It doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel more like 4 star. Staff inattentive, very slow, poor customer service. Around the pool area people reserve their beds from early morning so you can’t get a bed too. Breakfast, slowest service ever staff forget your orders so you just waiting there for hours. I know it’s a new hotel but somebody needs to upskill their employees to the right standards.

* The lack of proper training of one of the reception staff members. Upon arrival, I was specifically asked to provide a credit card. I normally use a perfectly valid and fully functional debit card, on which the hotel can place whatever security deposit it requires. The receptionist explained that using a credit card would mean the deposit would be released immediately. Unsurprisingly, this was not the case, and at check-out I was told that a debit card would have been perfectly sufficient after all. It is quite frustrating to feel that I need to have access to credit — even in the form of a credit card — simply in order to stay at a hotel. * Getting a taxi was an adventure in itself, and one that the hotel staff seemed to have difficulty managing. Given the hotel’s rather isolated location, I would expect some form of transportation solution to be available, or at least a shuttle service. At one point, we waited for 1.5 hours in front of the hotel. It honestly felt like a scene from a bad movie: whenever a taxi finally arrived, everyone would rush towards it. * The bathroom amenities were extremely basic. There were only large dispensers of soap, shampoo and shower gel, with none of the small essentials you would normally expect from a hotel of this standard, such as cotton buds or similar bathroom kits. * There were no bathrobes in the room, and I had to call reception three times before they were finally provided. * The area itself is peaceful and beautiful, but the location makes it quite difficult to get anywhere else on the island.

They worked on having a nice lobby area but for the rooms seems like hotel was old with some refinements. The whole room floors and inside rooms the AC smelled very moldy and you can see it is not cleaned in the room the AC vent. That made me sometimes even feeling a bit dizzy just by coming in to the room floor and inside the room as it feels there is not a fresh air to breath in. The variety of the pools is good. Breakfast was ok but they offered a bunch of fruits with not many varieties of other food and only 3 different things à la carte - omelette, eggs Benedict and avo toast.. so ok but could be better for a 5 star hotel and price value.

As the AC is not cleaned smell is very bad and not healthy while you need to have all the time AC on as it is extremely hot and humid so you can’t have balcony doors open at all to get some fresh air. That’s something I felt was extremely bad for the baby we had. Indoor air is just really unhealthy and bed smell. The opening doors were so loud and squeaky which bothered and woke up out kid all the time. The pillows for a 5 star hotel are not really comfortable and everything felt always wet due to humid weather and AC.
