The proprietor was waiting outside for us, timed to our evening train arrival from Riga. He welcomed us warmly and showed us all the facilities. This level of friendly attention is very rare!

There were a couple of small things that needed attention, which the proprietor took care of the moment I told him. Otherwise, I would have to dig deep to find faults - the nice painting on the wall was hanging crooked?

It was dirty, especially the shower and toilet. The room was dusty and there were cobwebs.
