Shame was not what was expected

Nice that extra blankets were provided. Coffee n tea too but we used our own. Be nice if sugar had been included. Nice that dish soap, hand wash etc was included. Towels good. Can see that hut once did look new and modern.

This was obviously once a great place to stay - it is looking like the hosts have fallen out of love with it and it needs some tlc. The gap behind the built in seating area needs addressing as anything fallen there cannot be retrieved. I was puzzled why there was the odd fly in the hut and hope that no food had fallen down this gap. Shower was only hot once so we didn't shower on our 2nd night. Freezing without heater and needed to keep on over night - we also took our own heater that was needed. Cold air coming through window near table when shut. Light switch needs fixing on top bunk can see this was reported July 2025. Poor fitting cupboards throughout which could easily be made to look amazing. No mirror in bathroom or anywhere else. No tv. Entire interior needs a makeover including a more practical bathroom door and the fitted table lowered so plug sockets can be used. Had to request a lamp as main light very bright and harsh. An extention lead is required for heater or even extra electrical sockets installed. Lastly this shepherds hut is on the host's private property next to their house and near a main road. None of this wld matter if the hut was top notch which sadly - though it could be - it wasn't.

Would most certainly stay again, we had the best time celebrating my partner birthday.

We really loved the location, it was a great base for lots of walking and there’s a pretty good Neapolitan pizza place not too far away which we enjoyed for our tea. It was nice, clean and tidy (apart from the party decorations which I requested). It was quiet in the mornings and at night, There’s animals in the fields so the little one was occupied most of the time. We would definitely recommend and we will be staying again.

I didn’t like that we had to leave, Sarah and her family were so accommodating towards us, they even went out of their way to make the stay special, it was my partners birthday and we were travelling from Liverpool. So I asked her to grab some balloons and some Prosecco and a cake because I couldn’t possibly ’Party-fy’ the room myself! My partner got such a shock walking in. It was a nice touch.

We loved the location and the amazing scenery. It was a cosy stay!

Unfortunately it was very cold in the cabin, even with the heater on full blast. We also struggled to get hot water. No blinds so not very private.

The hut was so much lovelier and roomier than I expected. Cooking facilities were brilliant and the table for 4 was a surprise, I don’t know how they fitted it all in! Comfy cosy beds and a great shower. a lovely vibe

Very happy family stay

Amazing, very friendly and welcoming. Super cute surroundings. Loads to do in the area. Barmouth is amazing and we even ventured over to zipworld a 30 minute drive away

Cosy hut ideally situated for trips to Barmouth, Port Merion and Snowdon

The hut is situated on land with lovely horses that are very friendly and love to come show off for a slice of apple

If you want to watch t v, take a laptop for cosy movies in the bottom double bed bunk.

I liked the location and especially the view. I also liked the design of the cabin. It was perfect for three people. It was also very clean.

I think the blinds needed to block all the windows and there needed more places to hang coats or towels.

Perfect family getaway

Perfect getaway for the family. We loved how compact the Hut is with everything you could possibly need Shower was fantastic Beds were comfortable too! Made use of the outdoor seating area to play games and lit a fire In the morning had breakfast out there with a view The Hut is fenced off so it’s secure for the dog to roam around Communication from owner was amazing Greeted on arrival with extra towels and cups Location is in a great area we love to visit often and you cannot beat the view of Cader Idris!! We would definitely stay again !!

Delightful stay with an incredible view

The location is spectacular with a view out towards the mountains. On-site parking was a bonus. The Shepherds Hut is very cute and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was very good and hot! We loved that it was a different experience from the usual.

There were a few minor issues. Two of the four mugs were very badly chipped (one was unusable) and the bowls were also chipped. There were no blinds in the windows other than the main doors, and even though no one overlooked the hut, with four squeezed we felt slightly exposed getting dressed etc We got soaked one evening - it was very difficult finding places to hang four people's coats and clothes to dry out. A few more hangers would help a lot. There was only one tiny hand mirror which was broken and wouldn't sit level. With having two teenage girls this was a problem. We had to fashion a system to keep the mirror level and share it! With such limited space there was a defunct stove in a corner which would have given us a bit more space - we had four small suitcases, shoes etc so it was very tight. These are small issues which, if resolved, would have given a near perfect score.

Very comfortable beds and the shower was excellent. Great views and very good location.

There were no blinds in the hut, meaning the light was streaming in from about 4am. The single blind that was next to each bed was broken, and wouldn’t stay up leaving it dark during the day. The complimentary soap/body wash pumps were all empty. We were left with a dirty dish cloth and dirty sponge from the previous guests. The kitchen tap was not connected to the counter, leading to me needing pharmacy treatment due to a hot water scald. The light switch on the top bunk had been torn off, so the lights unusable. The top bunk also has what appeared to be crumbs in the bedding. We also never saw the hosts at all.

Lovely place, some very tiny stuff couldve improved our stay, but all together an amazing place.

Very cosy, convenient location, horses around, very nice view, comfortable beds and very nice hosts!!!

Couldn't find a hairdryer, some spiderwebs in the corners. We were left with half a roll of toilet paper for the 3 of us, also there was only 2 towels. Probably wouldve been possible to sort it if we wouldve realised these issues earlier.

The setting was beautiful, loved the horses walking around and the wildlife, very quiet and perfect location for what we wanted to do and not far from two lovely towns either.

I stayed here with my family of four,There is no way this is big enough for 4, we couldn't more. The kids had the top bunk and the ladder did not fill stable at all,the place is so small that every time someone went to the loo it woke up everyone else and the whole place shook. There was no manual on how to use electric blinds ect just had to guess. We also asked for the WiFi code on 4 different occasions and where not given it, ended up using so much data. It was also overpriced as we then moved on to somewhere else that cost the same but for 2 more days. Photos misleading.

Cute mobile home

The place is very nice and cosy, clean and well equipped. The view from the cabin is breathtaking, and it's a bit hidden, giving extra privacy and a calm and quiet spot. Sarah, the owner, is really nice and has helped us with everything we needed.

Kleiner Bauwagen mit grandioser Aussicht.

Die Lage im Süden des Snowdonia Nationalparks war atemberaubend schön. Man hatte einen tollen, freien Blick auf die Berge und am frühen Morgen besuchten einem sogar die Pferde der Besitzer am Zaun. Der Bauwagen ist modern ausgebaut mit Küche und Bad. Die Betten sind sehr bequem gewesen.

Es gab fast keine Aufhängemöglichkeiten für Jacken oder Handtücher. Dadurch lagen meist die Sachen irgendwo im eh schon begrenzten Wohnraum herum. Hier hätte man an einigen Stellen etwas "smarter" bauen können. Leider roch es aus dem Abfluss des Bades sehr nach... Naja Abfluss. Das trübte ein wenig das sonst tolle Erlebnis.
