Mill Dam Lake House

Lovely cottage with beautiful lake view. Good well equipped with everything one would require for a stay. Nice touch to have a welcoming gift of a small bottle of Prosecco and wine as well as a couple of cans of diet coke. The owner was particularly accommodating with a mix up with our dates.

It would have been good to have had more than one dishwasher tablet. And incase the owner is unaware the nice courtyard at the back is being taken over by a rapid growing weed.

A lovely stay in a home from home with some lovely touches by the owners who were fantastic in accommodating our slightly later checkout due to a wedding event. Shame we didn't have more time to enjoy them! A short walk to a local pub for drinks and food the night of arrival although we could easily have cooked or used the takeaway menus. It's a lovely place, thank you for sharing it.

The only very slight point was the possible need for some curtain linings or some such as the bedroom was light very early. As luddites we couldn't figure out live TV but did manage to watch something at the end of the evening using WiFi :)

The bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen were of a good standard. Good location for exploring the Essex coast. Clear instructions about parking.Dog friendly.

After a long journey, disappointed to find property not as pristine on the outside as it appeared in the listing. Weeds growing around either side of the front door. Gravel in the back had lots of weeds. Decking green and needed a clean. Not conducive for sitting outside which was a wasted opportunity as the weather was so good. Bin needed outside for rubbish, especially during very hot weather.Lounge chairs really uncomfortable if staying for more than a night. Green sofa bed rock hard. Had to buy cushions to make it bearable to sit on in the evenings. Also had to buy tea towels. Sticky patches inside cupboards and front room window frame grubby. Casement round television cable fallen from wall. Patches of plaster showing through paint at various places downstairs.
