Beautiful penthouse in Casares with rooftop terrace and seaview

A big apartment with 2 balconies. A large upper balcony had views of the sea, all day sun and a fantastic barbecue. It was clean and well laid out with a very large T.V. There were large areas/parks nearby to walk our dog.

We expected more for the money. First of all its situated within a secure urbanisation and the apartments do seem a bit on top of each other. There were several apartments that had dogs and they were enclosed or inside all day. Regular howls and dog barking got annoying and broke the relative peace of the area. We were travelling with a dog ourselves but for some reason the locals thought it was okay to let them bark every time anyone walked past day or night. Parking is quite difficult as the streets are steep and this property doesn't have a dedicated parking bay. I had notes left on my car by locals who wanted the space as much as I did. The Wi Fi in the apartment is very poor. It's Olive Net which doesn't have a good name anyway. I tried to use a firestick with VPN and constant buffering made it annoying. The Wi Fi upstairs was virtually none existent. After a few days I sent a message to the owner/representative explaining that a few things needed sorting out (poor shower holder, very stiff sliding door, broken light, fridge freezer collecting ice etc.). In fairness they were quick to respond but never actually came to do anything during our stay. If you're coming during the winter months, and there is a breeze, you will certainly feel it around the apartment as it is right on top of a small hill. The heating isn't great either. It worked in the bedrooms but not in the main room. Finally the beds. The top bedroom double bed was very comfortable but the other rooms had uncomfortable beds.
