Dishonest Host – Unfair Deposit Withholding & Threats

Unfortunately, I feel compelled to leave a negative review to warn future guests about this unscrupulous host. The Apartment Itself: - Fully met expectations – comfortable and well-equipped. - Great location with a stunning view. The Problem: Our stay was completely overshadowed by the host’s unacceptable behavior after checkout. Here’s what happened: 1. Deposit Scam: They take a €200 deposit upon arrival but then refuse to return it unless the apartment is left in "perfect" condition. 2. Unreasonable Demands: We were shocked to be expected to do a full deep cleaning - something that should always be included in the rental fee. 3. We Followed the Rules: - Washed all dishes - Took out the trash - Stripped the beds - Left no damage or excessive dirt 4. False Accusations & Threats: - The host sent aggressive messages, insults and even threats ("I’ll find you"). - They demanded an extra €50 for cleaning, but their "proof" photos showed nothing justifying such claims

Excellent place to stay while exploring the Luberon

Perfect apartment, fully equipped, clean and comfortable with the best view of the valley. Situated in the heart of Bonnieux, so we could walk around everywhere. Super friendly owner and accommodated. We stayed for three nights and travelled easily to Gordes, Roussillon, Loumarin, La Coste and a nice lunch at Aix. Most reachable within about 30 mins. One of the best place to be for our trip in France.

Außergewöhnlich wohnen im Luberon

Alles neu. Alles in modernem Stil. Schönes Bad mit tollen Naturfliesen. (Uns hat's gefallen, aber wer es provencalisch erwartet, wird enttäuscht sein.) Obwohl es eine Stadtwohnung ist, war es nächtens sehr ruhig. Das absolute Highlight der Ferienwohnung im zweiten Stock ist die Aussicht aus dem Fenster. Ein unglaublich schönes Landschaftsbild. Blick übers Tal zu anderen tollen Orten, bei guter Sicht sieht man sogar den Mont Ventoux. Zwei Gässchen weiter unten in der Stadt gibt es eine Eisdiele. Wer die Sorten "Lavende" und "Thym-Miel" nicht probiert, hat etwas Sensationelles verpasst in seinem Leben. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett. (Wir durften unsere Rennräder in ein Kämmerchen im Hausflur stellen.) Sie sprechen nicht nur Französisch, sondern auch ganz passabel Englisch. Da sie beide ein kleines Geschäft im Erdgeschoss des Hauses haben, waren sie fast immer vor Ort und ansprechbar.

Ein klarer Nachteil der Wohnung ist, dass es keine zugehörige Parkmöglichkeit gibt. Man muss auf öffentlichen Parkplätzen parken. Weil ein gutbesuchtes Restaurant gleich nebenan ist, sind nahegelegene Parkplätze fast immer belegt. Also sollte man sich darauf einstellen, auf einem der beiden "großen" Parkplätze am Stadtrand zu parken. Wir haben uns für den Parkplatz am unteren Stadtrand entschieden. Erstens bietet dieser eine Ladestation fürs E-Auto mit 22 kW und zweitens konnten wir das Auto dort so positionieren, dass wir es von unserem wunderbaren Wohnungsfenster aus sehen konnten ... ;-) Zum End- und Beladen kann man sich aber schon mal kurzzeitig irgendwo vor's Haus stellen. Die Wohnung liegt im zweiten Stock. Es gibt keinen Aufzug. Für uns kein Problem, für Andere vielleicht schon.
