Bonnieux is a great base for exploring the area. The property is accessed by 53 uneven steps down from the street which was challenging with luggage. These steps and the 35 up into town kept is fit and able to enjoy great food and wine without gaining a pound. The cottage is charming and the views of the Luberon are beautiful. We enjoyed many late afternoons outdoors relaxing and reading

A lovely little property looking across at the Luberon with a lovely garden to relax in and a pool to swim in. Loved the bedroom too as the big clear glass windows enabled you to gaze at the moon and stars in the night sky.

'La Source' is the perfect villa to be based at in Bonnieux. Everything is within walking distance which makes for a very relaxing stay. The villa has a rustic, traditional feel and has everything you need for a holiday.

The property is beautiful and just as pictured. Antonin and Gaelle very friendly and quickly fixed a small shower problem. Kitchen very well equipped. Walking distance to everything one could need in this beautiful village. We will return in the future

A great spot in Bonnieux.

A great spot in Bonnieux.

Four of us stayed at this house for a week during March/April, 2015 and found it to be as described and in good working order. The house was clean and neat and supplied with everything we required, including Pétanque balls and an enclosed area in which to play. The location is superb, with long views and close walking distance to everything the town has to offer. The owners, Antonin & Gaëlle, were very helpful and live in town. The house is reached via 55 fairly steep stone steps but our group, ranging in age from 14 to 73, handled them just fine. Not to be missed is the Borie village of stacked stone huts located a few kilometers from Bonnieux, a nice 25 minute uphill walk. There are many good restaurants in town to recommend, particularly L'heure Bleue and L'Arome.

Delightful, Private and Unusual

Les Ramparts is really two completely separate dwellings connected by a perfect little pool. We stayed for a week at the end of July. Absolutely ideal for two couples or in my case,one couple whose lesser half snores to bring the house down. As you descend the old stone steps from the road (easy parking by the way) the unit on the left is a charming stone cottage with living room kitchen and a bedroom that makes you feel like you are sleeping in the trees. Breathtaking views from every part of this long narrow property. The really special unit though is the one on the right side of the pool. A long living room/ bedroom with a bathroom at the far end. The wall facing the view is almost entirely glass sliding doors which slide open and disappear at each end. I slept each night with them wide open. What a feeling to be in a comfy bed but under the stars as you look out. Really unique. In fact this house is unique; we have stayed in Venasque, Mougins Gordes Lourmarin and three times in differnt houses in Bonnieux. Les Ramparts is the only one I would come back to. it is that good. In fact some days we deep-sixed touring around all together and just stayed in to enjoy the sun -pool- view- privacy and Rose vin because this house was so perfect. Antonin and his wife were on call if needed. Nice helpful couple. If I had to pick one place in Provence, this would be it.

Hervorzuheben ist die tolle Lage. Das kleine, einfache Anwesen befindet sich im schönen Dorf Bonnieux, diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind zu Fuss erreichbar, dennoch ist es sehr ruhig. Bonnieux liegt im eindrucksvollen Biosphärenreservat Luberon. Der Garten eröffnet den Blick auf die üppige Natur mit ihrer schönen Geräuschkulisse. Rund um Bonnieux gibt es unzählige gute Restaurants und schöne Dörfer, die zu einem Besuch einladen. Das Anwesen ist einfach gehalten, bietet jedoch alles, was man benötigt. Vom Dorf aus erreicht man das Häuschen über eine steile, lange Treppe, es ist daher nur für trittsichere Personen zu empfehlen.

Nous avons apprécié séjourner dans cette charmante maison sur les terrasses de Bonnieux au calme avec un belle vue sur le Luberon tout en profitant de la piscine ou du terrain de pétanque. On se sent seul tout en étant proche du centre du village. Très bon accueil des propriétaires.

Très bonne situation, proche du centre et des commerces. Très calme au milieu de la végétation. Piscine, machine à laver et lave vaisselle. Pour rappel, 56 marches à descendre (et à remonter) pour accéder à la propriété. Quelques détails manquent pour être parfait : une bouteille d'eau (ou un rafraichissement) dans le frigo pour l'arrivée des occupants après une longue route, grille du BBQ pas très propre, une penderie dans les chambres pour défaire les valises, électricité vascillente par temps de pluie (orage), quelques pièges à fourmis supplémentaires..., linge de maison un peu "rèche" (manque de l'adouiccissant pour les esssuies mis à disposition), quelques beaux verres pour le vin,... . Des petits détails certes mais qui peuvent faire la diffférence pour que ce soit parfait ! J'aurais bien voulu octroyer un 9/10, on en est tout proche.

Séjour parfait, photos ultra conformes et accueil fort sympathique. Chambre qui vous plonge en pleine nature, jardin au top, sur 2 niveaux (jardin-piscine/terrain pétanque) avec vue imprenable sur le Luberon. Espace séjour intégrant table à manger, mais aussi coin salon avec canapé, très pratique. Cuisine parfaitement équipée. Bien noter les escaliers obligatoires pour accéder à la propriété : logique, c'est en restanque ;-) Merci Antonin & Gaëlle, nous reviendrons !

Ich habe Anfang Oktober zwei herrliche Wochen in den wunderbaren Häuschen verbracht. Unsere drei Kinder waren jeden Tag im Pool. Wenn es abends kühler wurde ließ sich die Wohnung gut beheizen. Die Häuser sind liebevoll eingerichtet und der Blick ist umwerfend!

Wonderful place to be

The house and garden is simply said gorgeous. If you don't have an issue with going the stairs up and down it is the best place to be, lovingly and tastefully furnitured and a wonderful view in the garden with a nice pool. We had a wonderful week, an easy and very friendly communication with Antonin and Gaelle and will definitely try to get again a reservation for next year.

Vue magique sur la nature, piscine privative très agréable, jardin bien entretenu, petite maison fonctionnelle à l'ombre d'un gros figuier: un bien joli lieu ressourçant. Petits points à préciser pour les prochains visiteurs: nécessité de laisser l'auto dans la rue et de descendre une cinquantaine de marches pour accéder à ce petit paradis.
