AMÉNTE Mindful Stay

We were warmly welcomed with a delicious homemade lemonade and lots of helpful information about the area, especially restaurant recommendations. Thanks to their suggestions, we discovered some beautiful nearby beaches and had some amazing meals. The hotel itself has a minimal yet elegant style and is extremely well maintained. We especially appreciated how spotless and clean the entire property was. It was also wonderfully quiet and relaxing, exactly as it looked in the photos and as described in the reviews. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was another highlight. It is not a buffet, but you can choose from several delicious options and enjoy breakfast in your room, in the breakfast room, or by the pool. This makes the experience feel much more peaceful and personal. We had breakfast there every day and were very happy with it. A special mention for the matcha, which was a lovely surprise and something we didn’t find anywhere else! The location is also great: the town centre is just a pleasant 10-minute walk away, making it easy to enjoy the area while still staying somewhere quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place to stay. We absolutely loved our experience!

Adorable hotel, such a relaxing base for all that this beautiful part of Crete has to offer. It is very tastefully designed, and maintained with care. There is a great commitment in this family-run hotel to what they do. From the lemonade on arrival, to the thoughtfully destined app, the flexible provision of food throughout the day, all details are taken care of, leaving guests free to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

This is an exceptional property. Everything has been carefully thought through and designed with excellent taste, creating a stylish, comfortable, and genuinely relaxing place to stay. The property has a lovely pool, a very good shower and bathroom, an exceptionally comfortable bed, and an excellent air-conditioning system that kept the property comfortably cool throughout our stay. The location is also very convenient, with restaurants and cafés just a short walk away and a supermarket directly across the road. There is also plenty of parking available, which made everything very easy. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and professional, and from the moment we arrived we felt very well looked after. It is clear that this property has been designed with a purpose: to give guests a peaceful, comfortable, and luxurious experience. It absolutely achieves that. Everything you could reasonably need has been considered, and I genuinely struggled to find anything to fault. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone looking for peace, comfort, and a touch of luxury. I would happily stay here again.

It took me some considerable thought to decide whether to include this in my review, because almost every other aspect of our stay was excellent. However, for the benefit of the owners and future guests, I feel it is important to mention. We stayed for three nights and had a genuinely wonderful experience until our final evening. During that evening, what appeared to be a serious argument between the owners took place in or around the reception/office area. There was loud shouting for approximately 30 minutes, clearly audible to guests who were trying to enjoy a peaceful evening. Unfortunately, this felt very unprofessional and completely out of keeping with the calm, relaxing atmosphere the property otherwise works so hard to create. It was particularly disappointing because the staff had gone to such great lengths throughout our stay to make guests feel welcome, comfortable, and well looked after. The incident affected the atmosphere of our final evening and, in truth, left us feeling relieved that we were checking out the following day. I do not mention this lightly, nor do I want it to overshadow what was otherwise an exceptional stay. It was the only significant negative point during our entire visit. This is a beautiful property that offers a genuinely peaceful and luxurious experience, which is precisely why it was such a shame to see that atmosphere disrupted in this way. This incident is also the only reason I have given a lower score in the “How were your hosts?” category. In every other respect, our experience was excellent. With a little more awareness of how private disagreements can affect paying guests, this is a property I would otherwise find extremely difficult to fault.

The room was clean and very nice , everything was carefully designed. The pool in front of the room was a great addition and the breakfast at the patio the highlight of our stay.
