The Hidden House, Dawlish

Very clean and comfortable. We’ll set out for our family of 9. Everything you could need for a relaxing break away .

There was nothing at all .

Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Great open plan living area. Perfect for our family meet up to cook and chat and play cards around the big table. Nice garden for the dog to pop out into and we had superb weather so had breakfast outside one morning, lovely sun trap. 5 minutes to walk into town. Great cafes and lovely selection of boutiques. Everything you need within a 10 minute walk.

The only let down was not being able to park near the property. We found a space close by and left it all weekend. We walked everywhere as it's so close to town.

Parking situation but that was my fault for not checking that when I booked.

Lovely property. Spacious, tidy, especially the airy downstairs. Very convenient location for Dawlish itself and as a base for exploring South and East Devon (Powderham, The Warren, Shaldon, Teignmouth). Great value for a family stay. Communications were generally very good and clear with the hosts. Second shower room/WC downstairs is helpful with multiple guests. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Appliances. Nice garden and possible to eat outside. Parking nearby was free.

Not big issues for us, but might help others to be aware / manage expectations... Nearest on street parking spaces were at Church St, 5 mins or more on foot. Some décor a bit faded. One top bunk bed less comfortable.
