The Orchard House: Close to the Katy Trail, Truman Lake and Historic Downtown

This house was so cute. It was on a dead end street and was very quiet. It was easy to access and was a good central spot while I was in Clinton visiting family. Would definitely stay here again.

We had to adjust the date of our stay. The owner was understanding and very flexible. Check-in was rather rough with not receiving a code for the locked front door. Chatting with Vrbo was of no help and the phone call with Vrbo was as frustrating. The Ring camera at the front door finally connected us to a property manager who was able to give us the appropriate code to unlock the front door. All of this causing a lot of undue stress fearing we would be late for a scheduled event. However, once inside, we found the little house apparently newly remodeled, clean, decorated nicely, comfortable seating, and beds. I would recommend for a couple or small family.

The house entirely was cleaned spotless, the neighborhood is kind of sketchy but quiet except for house, The neighbor that has the adjoining backyard fence towards the end of the street has a dog that barks non-stop. He was outside at the fence all night barking sporadically especially when you open the front or back door and even when we left at 3:30am to go fishing he was barking . I love dogs but also believe in obedience, the dog barked off and on all day which is no big deal during daylight hours but we could hear him in the bedrooms on the far side of the house when we went to bed around 10:00pm. Overall I would and will stay here again, we really enjoyed having a full house rental and it's immaculate. The owner takes pride. If it wasn't for the neighbors dog it would be hands down five star rating across the board.

Host is great and very accommodating. Was a decent alternative to the hotel. Humidity is extremely high inside the home making everything feel damp. Lots of ants. Cute decorations. The location was a good location for the reason for our visit.
