Could be better organised

The location.

The cottage was freezing when we arrived on Christmas Day. It took all day for it to warm up. The kitchen was not fully stocked, ie. Only 3 plates, no tea towel, a very disgusting washing scourer and only one pan. No drawers or storage in the bedroom only a couple of coat hangers. There were no instructions on how work things eg. The heating. Every morning during our stay a big black truck parked outside and left its engine running for around ten minutes whilst he got his coffee from The Cafe.

Stylish, comfortable cottage, excellent location.

Clean, spacious bedrooms and bathroom, comfortable beds. Full equipped kitchen. Owners were exceptionally helpful in managing our booking and considerate as we were attending a family funeral.

Only one small issue for us was there is no table to eat at, only a sofa and coffee table. Our stay was short so not too impactful.

The location. Actually, it's a terrace, but a very nice one. The house was very clean

The welcome and some amenities. There were no amenities you'd find in most B&Bs these days. Coffee, herbal teas, tea, etc. Bottled water. When we arrived at the house there was a very low temperature. The connection was unstable, making it impossible to connect with our own devices. The quality/price ratio really didn't live up to the location's standards

Cozy, Modern Cottage

The accommodations were very modern and clean. There was plenty of room for both my son and I to have private space. I like that the accommodations were within walking distance to my daughter and son-in-law. Also plenty of shops and restaurants close by.

The only suggestion I would have is to have a close horse available. There was a washer but there was no way to hang clothes to dry. I thought maybe the intention was to use the clothes racks, but I think the flocked hangers would have been ruined by wet clothes. A lighter top sheet or blanket would have been helpful too as it was very hot with the duvet. My daughter did give us some top sheets to borrow so that was nice. Oh, and a mop would have been handy as the shower partition did not keep all water within the tub.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Farsley cottage, it will be the first choice for my next visit.

Farsley cottage is an amazing find, its central village location offers easy access to all local amenities, there are great transport links to the larger towns and to Leeds airport. The property itself is stunning and offers exceptional value for money, perfect for both short or long stays. Communication with the host was delightful, Dee was prompt, efficient and nothing seemed too much trouble. I only hope it’s available on my next visit to the area.
