Keys pickup and dropoff at the local friendly Shell filling station was an uncomfortable leap of faith for a Joburger, but worked perfectly. Location of the property and its facilities were excellent. Candice and Ballito Properties, managing agent, was superb - responsive to queries and detailed instructions every step of the way.

Humid summers in Ballito can be testing for Highvelders used to thin air. An aircon, even if just in the bedroom, would make this stay a perfect 10/10. My wife was surprised one morning by a strange man with a clipboard in the garden looking through the bathroom window at her. No idea who he was!

Great views, comfortable and clean. Great bedding. Great location. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances etc and we could tell the manager had thought of everything (iron, air fryer, sandwich maker, clothes horse)

The cleaning, mirrors were not wiped in bathroom (splatter from washing hands and brushing teeth etc) and I think she used dirty water to mop or didn’t use enough cleaner as it didn’t smell good (old eggy smell) every day after she had been. We also couldn’t find a broom until the fourth day when it appeared on the balcony after the cleaner had been. And lastly she was waaaay too liberal with our dishwashing liquid- used half a bottle of sunlight in 4/5 days. Tv is also very small and could use an upgrade. Fridge was leaking water and might need a service.

Location and beautiful views of the ocean. Nice short walk to the beach.

Location was excellent , got to see beautiful sun rises almost every morning.

The main bedroom sliding door was old and did not close well. There was a gap which let in cold air and when it was very windy, the gap in the door exacerbated the howling of the wind. Furthermore, the main door and gate to the apartment should be replaced, it's old and was a problem for us getting in and out. Pillows were hard and not too comfortable. We did not manage to access the garage parking. The (7-14 days refund) of breakage deposit is too long, we would have left the country by then.
