Citadines Walker North Sydney

Aircon was having issues, I went down to reception and told them what was wrong, they said they will help me reset it. After 15 mins, still the same issue, I ask for a room change, told me hotel is fully booked, which i ask them, you want me to sweat in the room instead? Which they follow by the manager will come up instead, 1 hour later nobody did, I even said to them I am willing to pay for a upgrade, I just need a working aircon. Nobody answered to my help. Even contacted via email, none of Ascott got back to me. What a shitty manager.

Citadines Walker North Sydney I stayed at Citadines Walker North Sydney from 20–22 February 2026 with a friend who was visiting from Melbourne. We chose this hotel primarily for convenience, as staying in North Sydney meant we could spend the weekend together without either of us having to travel back and forth from my home in the Upper North Shore. And honestly, the location was the star of the weekend! The hotel is right in the heart of North Sydney and is surrounded by everything you could possibly need — convenience stores, restaurants, pubs, Woolworths and several transport options. We were absolutely spoilt for choice. The train and Metro stations are also just around the corner, making it incredibly easy to get into Sydney CBD and explore other parts of the city. One of the highlights of our stay was Bar Letta, the restaurant located within the hotel. If I remember correctly, it is on Level 5. The atmosphere was intimate and vibrant, and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. The staff were absolutely 10/10 — five-star service and genuinely treated us like VIPs. They really made our evening special. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a small kitchenette, which was convenient for a short stay. One thing to be aware of, however, is the interior design. The lighting was quite dim and the walls and décor were quite dark. Personally, I liked the aesthetic, but if you have poor eyesight or prefer bright, well-lit spaces, you may find the room a little challenging. Unfortunately, we did experience an issue with the air conditioning during our stay. February in Australia is still very much summer, and the weather was warm, but our room became particularly warm. We tried adjusting the controls ourselves without success. When we eventually contacted the hotel team, we were informed that there was an issue affecting the entire building. I think communication could have been better in this situation. It would have been helpful if guests had been notified when the hotel became aware of the issue, rather than having to contact reception individually and ask what was happening. A simple announcement or message to guests would have made a big difference and avoided some frustration. Despite this, we had a comfortable short stay and the location really did make up for a lot. For anyone looking for somewhere convenient in North Sydney, particularly for a short city break or weekend with friends, Citadines Walker North Sydney is definitely worth considering. And if you stay here, don't miss Bar Letta — the food and the service were fantastic! Overall, a convenient, comfortable stay in an unbeatable location. I would happily consider staying here again.

nice, location good, very clean and friendly staff

One of the worst accommodation experience. The shoser booth drain was dirty and had small fly like bugs crawling out of it. Bed sheet had yellow stains on it. Whats worse, breakfast was not served one morning because the chef did not show up to his/her workplace. Never ever heard of such nonsense!
