The loft is very spacious, featuring a large, comfortable living room with a fully equipped open kitchen—perfect for relaxing and preparing meals after a long day of sightseeing or work. The Accommodation
The studio belonged to Jason Molfessis, a Greek artist who left his mark on the Parisian avant-garde of the 1960s and 1970s. This spacious and light-filled loft was a hub for cultural and political gatherings, where he met figures such as Samuel Beckett, Claude Simon, and Iannis Xenakis.

Jason Molfessis was born in 1924 in Athens, where he began his artistic training at the School of Fine Arts. He worked in the studio of painter Constantin Parthenis and studied Byzantine art. After the Greek Civil War (1946-1949), during which he joined the communist guerrillas, he moved to Paris, where he took courses in fresco painting at the École des Beaux-Arts.

In his studio in the 14th arrondissement, Jason Molfessis has developed a personal and original style, blending geometric abstraction with symbolic figuration. His paintings are often crisscrossed by broken or curved lines that evoke human or animal forms. His sculptures are made of various materials such as wood, metal, or plaster. They express a constant search for movement and rhythm.

Jason Molfessis was also actively opposed to the military dictatorship that ruled Greece from 1967 to 1974. Along with his wife Calliopi, he actively participated in the resistance and in supporting Greek political refugees.

Jason Molfessis died in 2009 in Athens, leaving behind a rich and varied body of work that bears witness to his artistic and political commitment.
