The Boathouse, Kingsbridge - Romantic detached annexe with parking & estuary walk to great pub

It was the perfect place, with a bit of wow factor, to stay for a relaxing, refreshing break away. It is beautifully decorated, lovely and light and the owners have thought of every need, from coziness to a gorgeous comfortable bed. It is in a great location for a glimpse of the estuary, and then a walk along the estuary. We would recommend The Crabshell pub and Frothed coffee house . It is also in a perfect location to visit surrounding beaches and Salcombe We loved our stay and would recommend

The Boathouse is geweldig! Alles wat je kunt wensen, is er. Rob en Fleur staan voor je klaar als er iets is.

Fijn dat je voor de deur kunt parkeren, maar dat is wel moeizaam in verband met de drukke weg die erlangs loopt.

Everything. The premises were compact but very well designed and beautifully furnished.

Initially, I was a little concerned about the walk into town as there was no pavement in parts but we quickly became used to it and it was only a short walk.

The location was great as it faced the estuary and was a 15 minute walk into town. Along the way was a great pub and a scenic river walk. (although it is a busy road and you initially have to get to the river path which requires you to be on your senses). The property was exceptionally clean (right up there with the cleanest we have stayed in) extremely well fitted out and modern. We really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace at the front of the property on the sunny evenings we were lucky enough to have had. Kingsbridge is a great base for local attractions. We would love to come back one day.

As previously mentioned the road is busy and care is needed to back onto it. This is not a reason not to stay here just something to be aware of and we got the hang of it pretty quickly.
