The Hygge-Huus-Burhave was completely renovated in 2021 and converted into a vacation home. Originally built over 150 years ago, it served as a stable—an outbuilding to a pilot’s house that is over 200 years old. While we still use the pilot’s house—which is also located on the property—privately as a vacation home, we have been renting out the Hygge-Huus since its completion in the summer of 2021 to vacationers who want to spend their vacation right behind the dike on the North Sea coast.

The house features a sun terrace and a parking space on the property right next to the house. Bicycles can be stored in a garden shed.

Thanks to the optional availability of furniture for small children (high chair, crib, stair gate), the vacation home is particularly family-friendly.

The house stands out for its excellent location directly behind the dike between Fedderwardersiel and the beach in Burhave. It’s only about 300 meters to the North Sea and the North Sea lagoon.

Inside – Ground Floor
The first floor has a living area of approximately 40 square meters. The living area is open to the dining area and kitchen and can accommodate 4–5 people. The bathroom is also located on the first floor and features a floor-to-ceiling, semi-open shower. A separate entrance leads to the utility room, which is equipped with a sink, a washing machine, and a dryer.

Inside - Attic
The attic offers a living area of approximately 30 square meters plus storage space. A small hallway leads to a larger bedroom with a double bed and a smaller bedroom with two single beds. The house is generally designed to accommodate 4–5 people. The single beds can be converted into full-size beds, allowing the house to accommodate up to 5 people. Each bedroom has large Velux windows that flood the rooms with light and offer a beautiful view of the garden.

Inside - Amenities
The house features high-quality amenities. In addition to Wi-Fi internet access, the house is equipped with flat-screen TVs. A washing machine and dryer are available for our guests’ free use in the utility room.

Outside – Garden
Right next to the parking space, the house has a garden shed for storing bicycles. Our guests can relax on a separate terrace. Since this is a thatched-roof house, we offer you the option of grilling with an electric grill.



On-site costs: Final cleaning, utilities, bed linens, and towels are included in the price. In addition, the washing machine, dryer, and Wi-Fi are available free of charge. A security deposit of €150.00 is required. Pets are not allowed.



Check-in is from 3:00 PM to midnight, and check-out is from midnight to 10:00 AM.
