Apartment Villa Ma&Lu

Rakastimme aamulla parveekkeella istumista. Asunnosta löytyi kaikki mahdollinen, mistään ei ollut puutetta. Asiakaspalvelu oli parasta mahdollista mitä voi saada. Silloin kun palaamme Kroatiaan niin tulemme varmasti takaisin tänne.

Fabulous accommodation which was very clean and high spec. Extremely well maintained and equipped. The host was great, available to help with any queries but not intrusive. Prepared a lovely meal for us one evening which was very kind.

We had the most amazing stay at Villa Ma&Lu. There were 6 of us (2 adults and 4 teenagers); the Villa is beautiful with its own pool and terrace, comfortable, spacious rooms and everything you could possibly need (too many to mention but gas BBQ, beach towels, washing machine and dishwasher, coffee machine, sandwich maker etc). The location is perfect - 10 minute drive (or as we did Uber which is by far the easiest way to get around) to the lovely town of Cavtat and another 5 minutes to the beaches at Mlini and Srebreno (the latter being our favourite). Then just over 30 mins to Dubrovnik. The Villa is also only 5 mins to the airport - but as many guests have said - don’t let this put you off - the planes take off in the opposite direction so we never heard them. What made this holiday so special however was our host (and the property owner) Nikša (Nicky). To say he made us feel welcome would be a massive understatement. When we arrived he’d already stocked the fridge with beers, wine, fruit and other items (he’d asked us for a shopping list) - and he refused to let us pay. He then drove us to the supermarket on the first day to do a full shop. Throughout the stay he was on hand if we needed him (but was never intrusive). As with other guests Nicky offered to cook us a meal - we chose a long lunch - but were absolutely astounded with what he prepared. He’d been to the fish market early that day and bought 9 (NINE) massive fresh fish (a combination of sea bream and sea bass). He barbecued these expertly and served them with incredible roasted potatoes and vegetables. It was by far the best meal we had in the entire holiday. If we’d had this in one of the local restaurants it would easily have been €400+ but again Nicky refused our offer to pay. Then on the final day we were heading to Cavtat for a meal before catching our flight; Nicky offered to meet us at the airport with our bags! Nothing was too much trouble for him.

Villa exceeded all our expectations! If you’re looking for a private comfortable stay, this is exactly what you need. We spent 6 unforgettable days here with our large family. 1. Pool: clean and proper size to swim for adults and kids. 2. Outside area is very lovely, there is a barbecue area, dining set, swings and a trampoline for kids. 3. Villa itself includes everything we needed and even more! 4. Niksa is a super friendly host, who is always online and ready to help you any time. Thank you, Niksa, for the wonderful dinner we had, and for everything you did for us! And you’re always welcome to the Netherlands:) 5. Location: close to the airport. Our son, a big fan of the planes, was watching the landings and takeoffs from the terrace every day. Close to Dubrovnik (20-25 min by car). Close to Montenegro. Several good restaurants are nearby. Bakery is in just 5 min drive.
