Salthouse Portugal - Exclusive Studio

We stayed for one week in the Exclusive Studio. While we appreciated some aspects of our stay, we would not choose to return. The outdoor area is beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing. The barbecue was a nice addition and something we enjoyed using during our stay. The overall decoration is also tasteful and creates a pleasant atmosphere.

However, the studio itself is much smaller than it appears in the photos, which seem to have been taken in a way that makes the space look more spacious than it actually is. The bed is quite small, and overall the indoor space is not particularly comfortable for a longer stay. There is no proper seating area to relax in the evenings or watch a movie. The sofa is very small, comfortably seats only one person, and is not positioned well for watching the TV. Cooking in the evening was also difficult because the interior lighting is quite dim. As a result, we spent most of our time outside. Unfortunately, the outdoor area becomes full of mosquitoes around sunset, which limits how enjoyable it is at that time of day. During our stay, the yoga deck was not accessible. The owner was staying in another studio on the property, and since the outdoor areas are shared by all guests, we encountered her there several times during our stay. Overall, after looking at other accommodation options in the area, we felt there were several alternatives available at a similar price that would have better suited our needs.

This place is a true gem, surrounded by peaceful nature with plenty of birds singing and chirping nearby. Ramona and her family were wonderful hosts, managing everything smoothly. The little cabin was incredibly peaceful and silent at night, allowing us to see the stars from the bed, with the sea visible in the distance. It’s an awesome little hideout! There is also a grill and nice patio and lots of outside space to use freely!

Wunderschöne Lage, tolle Örtlichkeit, gute Ausstattung. Die Küche ist durchaus brauchbar, wenn man gerne kochen möchte. Die Filterkaffeemaschine ist eine sehr gute Wahl und tausendmal besser als Pad- oder Kapselmaschinen. Das Grundstück ist weitläufig und schön gestaltet. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste vor Ort und haben dementsprechend eine wundervolle und ruhige Zeit dort verbracht.

Nichts

It was all lovely lovely lovely. The hosts are friendly and happy, the guesthouse was small (which is why we don’t recommend more than two occupants - partners as the bed is quite small) and cute, location close enough to everything yet in a quiet setting. The view from the yoga deck is truly amazing.

Nothing really. The only upgradable item would be the bed. I am 1m88 and the bed probably 2m. Also the width is cosy. And we prefer a slightly softer matrass as this was one of the firmer ones we ever slept on. 🙂
