Hillside 2 Aljezur old town

Mooi en sfeervol appartement met heel veel leuke details! Mooi gebruik van nieuwe en oudere spullen zorgden voor fijne sfeer. Schoon en rustig. Ook goede faciliteiten in de buurt, zoals hele goede bakker, kleine winkels en meerdere leuke restaurants. Een tip zou nog zijn om wat extra koffie en thee klaar te leggen voor de “vermoeide fisherman’s trail wandelaar”. Goed contact via booking-app met verhuurder. Aanrader!

great location in the old part of town with good views over the valley and within easy reach of the castle. The interior is quirky and spacious.

Finding the property is difficult. This is not helped by continually referring to it as 2 Hillside Aljezure old town. It is actaully 23, Rua Costa del Castelo. This was mentioned once in an email but with the 23 following Castelo and preceeding a meaningless number. So we were looking for number 2 which does not exist. Luckily after 45 minutes looking a neighbour helped us find the address. Parking close to the property is not "on site" as the advert states but about 200 metres away at the top of a VERY steep climb. We are fit hill walkers but it was very tricky getting luggage down and up the hill. This should be mentioned. We had difficulty with the excellent log burner at first but one of the owners answered the phone and provided instructions - this should really be in an information book at the property. Also a carbon dioxide detector should be supplied with the property as part of the advice is to use the log burner at first with the door open and the smoke comes into the room. I was feeling very strange the day after we first lit the burner and it could have been low level CO poisening.

Great location in the 'shadow' of historic moorish castle. Great view from balcony with sensational sunrise and night sky overlooking Aljezur. Easy access to local restaurants despite the property being on a hill. No hill no view!! Host was responsive and on the ball with good Joining instructions and recommendations for restaurants and amenities. Superb beaches nearby - Praia de Amoreira and Monte Clerigo. Also Praia de Odeceixe is very well worth the 25 minute drive.

Very nice little house in the middle of Aljezur village. The host was extremely nice and helpful - gave us a lot of tips and even allowed us to checkout later, as there were no reservations afterwards. The fireplace made the living room very cozy for the raining January nights & days.

The sofa could be more comfortable, but not a major issue - everything else was great
