The sink faucet in the 2nd-floor washroom was either blocked or the pipe was clogged. Washing your teeth with the very slow flow was challenging

Close to the center but private

We loved the house, it was private and great location. It is a two story home, on a hilly cobblestone road. The hosts are amazing and a laundry facility close that takes drop off service and same day pick up. The house has fast wi fi and a/c in one room upstairs only.

A below expectations experience.

Location of the property - it is on the edge of the historic Centro, walking distance to attractions. However this place is not accessible (cobblestone, steps, 2 level unit). Late checkout was available as no-one was checking in that day. When communication was finally sorted, we got support we needed.

Listing pictures are photoshoped / improved - kitchen, bathroom and 3 bedrooms are in a rough shape and need a reno, especially bathroom (hard to determine if it is so old or dirty in places); bedroom walls are dirty and with multiple scoffs, furniture are old and have a musty smell. Listing says 'AC' and AC is only in one bedroom, the rest of the rooms are hot and there is no airflow (fans help a bit). Patio - picture in the listing is not accurate - there is a rooftop, but there is no security railing and there was no furniture / decor up there. some bamboo railing is stacked on a side, looks like it was set up for listing pictures purpose only. Advertised patio was one of the reasons we picked this place, so it was disappointing to see, that it is a bare rooftop. Cockroaches - both in the entry patio and in the house. Communication - we reached out to the property contact re cockroaches and phone was turned off (provided in the booking details). Random individuals responded via booking.com messages and most of the messages were in Spanish, so it was hard to communicate and it seemed very disorganized. We got in touch with an English speaking staff member he next day, then communication improved. Place seems like it is not clean (except from the living room, place was not renovated for a very long time) - even if it is properly cleaned, bathroom is smelly due to buildings age and lack of proper ventilation. Downstairs toiler barely worked. We were very efficient with water usage (we had no problem with saving the water or having low water pressure, but it might be a surprise to some guests) , but despite that, there was no hot or warm water for the most of the time. Once we needed a staff to come in fix the water system as we had no water in the bathroom. They came quickly and fixed it.

We loved Oaxaca and we would stay in this cozy apartment again.

The Penansco neighborhood/colonia is close to many things to explore in Oaxaca and we loved our neighbors.

I would suggest that you provide the Wifi password in the apartment but it was easy for us to obtain it.

Buena localización pero le falta mantenimiento a la casa y al baño.

Esta cerca del centro y la casa está igual a las fotos. Las personas son muy atentas.

Que no hay estacionamiento inclusive hay un letrero que dice que los huspedes no se pueden estacionar, que hay moscos, el sillón verde esta ya muy viejo se hunde y la parte del techo no esta habilitado

Nos encantó

Me encantó la ubicación, es más grande de lo que parece, la limpieza muy bien, nos sentimos muy a gusto sin duda recomendaremos la casita. A la llegada el pasillo no se ve tan lindo ( esto es de la privada ) pero al momento De ingresar a la casa te sorprende !

Estaría perfecto que las 3 habitaciones tuvieran aire acondicionado, aunque es importante decir que los ventiladores ayudan muchísimo. Y no sentimos Calor ningún día de nuestra estancia.
