AMAZING PLACE FOR THE VALUE

The cleanliness, the staff (Vero), the location, the safety

My stay at Casa 821 was exceptionally great, however the ONLY thing I can say negatively was the loud noises in the middle of the night. There are dogs that howl for hours in the early hours of the morning (but thats almost impossible to control since I hear this sound almost everywhere I go in South America), but there was a neighbour living in a very close building to the bCasa 821 who played EXTREMELY LOUD spanish music at exactly 5:40am for 30-40 minutes. After that it was impossible to fall back asleep.

Lovely home away from home, would recommend

Great location, able to walk most places. Clean space with a lovely roof terrace to enjoy! The room was perfect and very well decorated, would definitely recommend. The staff were friendly and we also did some laundry here which was an unexpected service

Immaculate accommodation a stones throw from the centre of Oaxaca

Super clean, really comfortable bed and complimentary laundry service for your first wash was a lovely touch. The location was a 15 minute walk away from the centre which was perfect for us. The area was nice and quiet at night but still felt very safe walking back even late on as you are along a main road. The host was extremely kind and friendly especially when we had a little panic at getting an earthquake alert through on our phones at 1 in the morning.

The only issue we had was finding somewhere comfortable to relax in the afternoons after long mornings exploring Oaxaca. The chairs in the room looked very stylish but were not very comfortable to actually sit on and the same with the seating on the balcony. A really minor thing which is just personal preference but we don’t like sitting / relaxing on the bed. Still wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Great location near the centre but not too busy or noisy.

I would have liked an easier way to communicate with the proprietor. There is no reception and my booking.com app doesn’t function properly so I can’t ask any questions. If there was a problem like a lost key for example I’m not sure how that would be sorted out.

Very nice modern Casa

This is a lovely modern guest house with gorgeous roof top terrace. Our 2nd favourite accommodation on a 15 day trip in Mexico. Recommended

Would always come back!

The interior was really nice! The washing service was such an advantage! and the staff was very friendly The wifi was also great It’s very close to Lineas Unidas Station, which was very helpful too. It’s a 10 Minute Walk to the Centre Centre, but that was totally fine for us. Never felt insecure or anything

Great, confortable and safe place to stay while exploring Oaxaca.

The room was cozy, great matress and huge bed. Andy was always very comunicative during our stay and the laundry free service is a great add-on for people traveling around the country with not so many clothes. Although we ended up not using it much, the terrace and open kitchen are really nice and practical if you don't want to eat out every time.

It's not super central, but the 10/15 minutes walk is no big deal. The place is not an hotel, so don't expect daily cleaning at your room. If you ask, the staff is really helpfull and will gladly change your towels.

Great location for short walk into Oaxaca Centre (north) and picking up public transportation / colectivos / taxis on main road (south). Free laundry service very useful. Always felt safe in and around the apartment (and in Oaxaca in general). Small issue with ants but Andy was very responsive to help and in general very helpful with questions/logistics, which was much appreciated. Nice rooftop area and food/water provided was great to have (particularly arriving late as things in Oaxaca close early).

Spacious apartment location off the touristic alleys

Very modern spacious apartment with great shared areas like coworking room, rooftop terrace and kitchen with free to use refreshments - even better than Marriott Bonvoy Diamond advantages ;) We had the basement room number 1 which comes with two indoor patios, a spacious kitchen area, a decent comfy bed and a nice bathroom - all in perfection of cleanliness and attraction to details. In the most southern part of Centro, some five walking minutes to the touristic hotspots, ideal if you travel by car and come from the west/south 175 . (Parking space in lot available in the street) Contact with staff in a perfect matter and responsive within minutes, highly appreciated. Would come again.

Great stay and good location

About 10 minutes walk from the main centre. The facilities were great, with milk/juice/water/snacks provided in the kitchen area and it was nice to have the sunbeds available on the rooftop too. Room was clean and perfect for a couple of nights.

We had a great stay at Casa 821. The room (5) is beautifully designed — modern and comfortable — and the bathroom is equally nice. The rooftop terrace is perfect for relaxing in the mornings or evenings. The complimentary touches like free coffee and water are a very nice bonus.

Great apartment to relax in. Lots of clear instructions. Recommend !

Lovely place. We felt really at home there. Great place to hang out for the Day of the Dead festival. We even got our laundry done !

It’s a bit of a walk (20 mins) to the centre of the city but that was fine. It kept our steps up & it felt quite safe.

Delightful Downtown Modern Guesthouse

Perfect location, right in the heart of downtown. Lovely staff, basic, yet comfortable rooms, phenomenal rooftop terrace. Morning self-serve coffee / tea / breakfast bar was a nice touch. Kind people, we will be back.

Liked the location, in a more local neighbourhood which was quieter while still being a short walk to the centre. Really loved the rooftop and the room was lovely too. The laundry service was brilliant too :)

The room doesn’t have AC, only a fan and we found it got pretty hot while we were there. The fan helped but it just didn’t ever feel like the place cooled down

Good location, it was a short walk to many great attractions in Centro. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean.

Superb service, stylish and comfortable accommodation.

The host was super helpful and responsive and the room itself was spacious, stylish and clean. Lots of nice little touches, like complementary cereal, coffee, juice etc in the room. Lovely roof terrace with views of the mountains too. They offer a free laundry service too.

The lack of air con meant it was a bit warm but a decent fan in the bedroom made it bearable. About a 15 minute walk to the central square but taxis are always available and affordable.

We booked 2 rooms, we love the one on ground floor which is much bigger with nice full equipped pantry space with big drinking water dispenser. We also like bathroom and sitting area in outdoor space. Laundry complimentary is such a great help for us, it is quick and neat! Clean spacious roof top is a plus.

A lovely hotel with a luxury feel which was great value for money.

A lovely designed property with great communal spaces. The room had an incredibly comfortable bed and a great shower which was actually hot, a treat after 2 weeks travelling mexico, the roof terrace was also really nice.

No issue at all but the hotel is about a 20 min walk to the main centre of town. The walk is down a main road with lots to see and you can also get a taxi easily if you didn’t want to walk.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa 821! The interior was beautifully designed, and the amenities were thoughtfully provided. We especially appreciated the kitchen/bar and rooftop area, which gave us the chance to enjoy a relaxed dinner at home during our trip. The free laundry facilities were a great bonus, especially as we were travelling for a few weeks. Although Oaxaca was very hot during our visit, the fan kept us comfortably cool-particularly at night. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Relaxing and comfortable, a top choice in a less busy area.

Clean, spacious, well designed place with very nice terrace and common areas to have a morning coffee and snack or evening wind-down. The room was so comfortable and clean. The fan and opening windows before sleeping made a cool enough sleep. I loved the self check in process as an introvert.

The echoes from doors closing due to not fitting perfectly was a tiny bit noisy and the bathroom faucet was a little loose. Neither of these things were serious and earplugs were provided that I didn’t need. The door locks were basic but I felt safe enough due to the main entrance lock and the area felt safe.

Gorgeous place to stay in beautiful Oaxaca

This is a great place to stay in Oaxaca! Super clean, lovely spacious rooms and the terrace is great. The owners had thought of everything including a book exchange, snacks and coffee on the terrace and even supplies to do your own paintings!! The only small negative is that the property is slightly out of the centre but easily walkable and lets you see a bit more of the ‘real’ Oaxaca!

Bellissimo, pulito e ottima posizione

Il posto è bellissimo e la nostra stanza al primo piano aveva tutto il necessario, oltre a un bellissimo piccolo patio interno. Il letto era comodo e sia la stanza che l’intera struttura erano molto puliti. Si trova vicino al centro, a soli 15 minuti a piedi dallo Zócalo, e la sera è stato tranquillo tornare a piedi. Tutte le istruzioni per il check-in e il check-out erano chiarissime e la comunicazione con l’host è stata molto facile. Un punto molto positivo è stato il primo lavaggio dei vestiti gratuito.

Stylish und zentral, toller Rooftop Bereich. Alles sehr individuell ausgestattet, ideal auch für digital nomads-alles vorhanden um vor Ort zu arbeiten.

Alles perfekt, wenn man individuell wohnen will und keinen Pool, Rezeption oder Bar benötigt. In der Gegend sind Reataurants eher Mangelware-da muss man schon 10 min laufen.

Schönes Zimmer! Gute Lage und sehr netter Kontakt! Tolle Dachterasse auf der man sich selbst mit zur Verfügung gestellten Snacks und Kaffee versorgen kann. Sehr unkomplizierter Check in. Extrem netter und sehr engagierter Besitzer - wir haben etwas wichtiges vergessen und über seine großartigen Bemühungen uns das nachzusenden haben wir uns sehr gefreut!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft, gemütliche Zimmer und Betten und eine schöne Aussicht von der Terrasse! Sehr saubere Zimmer und das Laundry Service war unglaublich praktisch!

Etwa 1 km außerhalb des Stadtzentrums und relativ hellhörig! Dafür werden jedoch Ohrstöpsel zur Verfügung gestellt.
