The conservatory and garden are stunning spots to write and meditate.

Clean comfortable bed, good shower, great hosts, what more do you need for one night.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property, the only reason I marked the first score one down was a glass in the bathroom would have been good even though there was a bottle of water. If I was being really picky a bean to cup coffee machine would be appreciated downstairs. Hate saying this as I loved my stay, felt very welcome.

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Hosts were friendly, helpful, caring
Bathroom not en-suite, but the cleanliness made up for the slight inconvenience

Lovely welcoming hosts.
Well decorated house with good conservatory & garden. Enjoyed the Srilankan dinner. Good location for local bus to central Glasgow.
The bed was a little softer than our preference. We would have preferred an English rather than Srilankan breakfast. A small chair in bedroom would have been useful.

I have never stayed somewhere like this! I felt so at home and was treated like a queen. Dilhani and lakmal were so accommodating and kind. The traditional sri Lankan food is delicious and the portions were great!!! I would recommend you order as much as possible throughout your stay as I had a meal in town one night and regretted it. The room was spotless and cozy. The bus is a 2 minutes away and train station a 15min walk. I will be back..
Nothing. Everything was perfect!

I have suggestions as to what could have been better.

Couple were very welcoming. Would highly recommend the Malaysian breakfast. Had potato curry with coconut rice. Flavour was very complex and very tasty. Highly recommend them. Close to airport. Garden at back of house is stunning. Can't praise this couples home enough. Definitely will be back in the future

Lakmal and Dilhani are wonderful hosts! Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. We spent some time talking with them as they also live at the property, but would have liked to have had the opportunity to chat more, but we were in Glasgow to meet with friends we had not seen for many years so sadly we didn't have the time.
They have a gorgeous, relaxing garden which we had a little time to enjoy.
We sadly didn't have breakfast as we had already pre-booked our days out with friends, but we did get the chance to sample a little of Dilhanis home made cooking before we left and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend asking about their food!
We had a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom - towels were provided. Our 20 year old son had the single room which had a queen size bed and a shared bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean.
Their home has a wonderful Sri-Lankan feel to it, in a quiet cul-de-sac.

There was no breakfast
We felt a little uncomfortable, we basically had a bedroom in the family home, in the middle of an estate, the owner made us a drink when we arrived and when we left, we had to walk through their lounge to go to the bedroom we were given. There were no tea/coffee making facilties in the bedroom or kettle (which most places provide now), so it is not what we were expecting at all. The only place in the house to make a drink was the family kitchen which we were not offered and we would not have wanted to use with no privacy. I don't want to upset the lady, it isn't my intention as she was lovely, but it was not what I would expect in 2025 for a B&B, so I must be honest writing a review. As there is no breakfast it should not be classed as a B&B, it is just a bed you are paying for.

Very friendly people. Nice quiet location.
The bed was a little soft but I guess I'm used to a firm bed at home.

I stayed in Glasgow for work and the location of Ceylon HomeStay was perfect, very quiet cul-de-sac with a 5 min walk to a canal which was lovely to run beside, with shops and food places close by if needed. The hosts were perfect, I was greeted at the door as I arrived, had a cup of tea and a chat, and shown around the house, garden and my room; they have a lovely home and open it up for guest to enjoy, My room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great, it was clear that Lakmal and Dilhani put so much effort and care into the guest experience, such nice people and lovely to chat with, I cant wait to return and stay again,
nothing i didn't like, it was the perfect stay and i cant wait to return, highly recommended

The incredible comfortable bed, everything clean and neat, the gorgoeus and peaceful garden with conservatory, and having a chat with Lakmal and Dilhani. I felt so welcoming. Big thanks.
Not having free access to hot drinking water. Maybe a thermo flusk with hot water it could be advantageous if they are not at home.

The first thing, as soon as we reached we were warmly Welcomed by Lakmal & Dilhani even though we reached the property at around 21.30 pm.
It was my wife's Birthday and as soon as they came to know that, they decorated the main room for Birthday Celebrations. We did had lovely Cake.
Both of them are so humble and honest.
Lakmal guided us with local bus and train schedules and personally dropped us at some places without charging a single penny. Same way Dilhani prepared such a lovely food for us - Chicken Biryani & Cocunut rice were some of them.
We recommend this property for a lovely and Homely stay.
It is REALLY A HOME AWAY FROM HOME.
If you are a Aviation & Canal Lover, We will suggest an additional Glasgow attraction just near the 5 min walk from this property. Lakmal may guide that for you.
Dilhani makes some Hand made Scottish remembrance gifts which are displayed in their glass rack which is quite cheap and so adorable
Wishing CEYLON HOME STAY - All the Success.
Love from Pravinchandra Guitesh & Illa Guitesh. .

Beautifully clean. Myself and my daughter went for a funeral! It’s the first time we’ve done this instead of a hotel! Only things that drove me mad was the seagulls from Glasgow harbour and the house is right under the flight path.

The hosts were exceptionally friendly. Went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. They cooked a few meals upon my request of traditional Sri Lankan food that was mouth watering. Highly recommend and will be staying again next time I’m in Glasgow.

We were greeted on arrival by Dilhani and Lakmal they gave us a very warm welcome into their home. We chatted for a length of time , offered tea & coffee and later show upstairs to a comfortable room.
We had an early flight to catch in the morning which we had to leave for around 0545 . It was no trouble as Lakmal made some more tea & coffee for us and saw us safely away .
Thanks again to Dilhani & Lakmal
It was excellent.
