Heavenly Valley

Great host, location, and facilities. The beds were comfy. Accommodation was spacious. Most everything you need was onsite for a self-catering holiday.

It was quite difficult for us oldies to climb in and out of the tub to shower as it is very high. The shower head could do with being replaced. The spray was on the low side. The peacocks were a novelty, but they kept fouling on the patio and table so we couldn't enjoy the outside space.

Woke up in a postcard at Conwy Cottage Valley

From the moment we arrived at Conwy, the cottage was impeccable. It was spotless and had all the amenities we needed, and needless to say, it offered a mesmerising view. The location is peaceful and quiet. I wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay at Conwy cottage.

Amazing place, good value, lovely host, would book again.

Lovely quiet location but shops weren’t to far away. Host was very friendly & helpful, the accommodation was clean, warm. Bonus was being greeted every morning by the peacocks. Free logs for the fire.

No dishwasher but not a major problem. I didn’t find the bed comfortable but that could just be me.

house is big and spacious, the owner has been so kind to allow us a late check out.

kitchen is very narrow, the table cannot accomodate people in a proper way, being against the wall, not comfortable at all. The bathroom ensuite shower seems a caravan shower, but does the job.

Pretty location but disappointed we couldn't go for walks directly from the property because of the busy main road. The cottage was very well equipped.

Cottages are in a great location from town centre. All activities and points of interest are at most 30 minutes away from the cottages.

Last minute gem.

Lovely converted stable block. Everything supplied for a pleasant stay Wi-Fi for the teens, great kitchen with fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine. The welcome pack was a lovely touch. Situated approx 3 miles outside of Conwy so central for everything we wanted to do but lovely and quiet on site.

Just a minor niggle, we are a family of 4 ( 2 teens) and the largest saucepan wouldn’t hold enough water to cook a 500gm bag of pasta so had to split between 2 pans, which only left a small saucepan not big enough to cook the bolognaise in. We managed but one bigger saucepan would be nice.

Cottages were well equipped and clean and in a good location to visit Conwy and Snowdonia National Park. Garden was lovely and we enjoyed the pea hen and her chicks visiting every day.

Shower pressure and mattress in upstairs bedroom and property felt a little dark.

Beautiful cottage

The cottage is perfectly situated around all the major sightseeing places and close to the coast. It’s clean and very well equipped, and so spacious with a great garden and lovely view

Superb

The host could not do enough for us. Very friendly and helpful. We had an electricity outage which was the fault of the supply company and Neil was brilliant and very helpful.

Tyn y Groes is not a hive of activity. There was not a lot going on locally. The local pub we walked out of as the service was so awful so we ended up travelling quite a way to find anywhere decent. There is nowhere within walking distance of the cottage.

Stylish cottage in a beautiful location, excellent host.

Location is fantastic, close to the coast and Snowdonia, as well as the Ffestiniog Railway, Zip World and Bodnant Gardens. The cottage, Is y Coed, is very spacious, and had both a dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a real log fire.

WiFi was a bit temperamental in the evenings, when everybody was using it. It did meet our needs though.

Family stay in Snowdonia

The owner was on hand to welcome us & to say goodbye. He was also readily available when we needed to contact him during our stay. There were lovely little extras, such as fresh milk in the fridge & fresh flowers. They work hard with recycling & composting. The double bed upstairs was comfortable, with a nice firm mattress. The children liked having a basketball post & football goal to play with.

The kitchen in Llywn Bedw is a little tired & cramped; I imagine it will be next on the list for updating. I understand that some of the other cottages within the complex have been updated. We struggled as a family of five with the small fridge. Otherwise, the kitchen was well-equipped with sufficient equipment for me to cook a couple of meals. The cottages are located rurally, so require you to drive to get anywhere. The one pub which is within walking distance was fully booked for the whole week of our stay. There’s no path to walk to this anyway; you would need to drive there.

Quiet rural setting

Close enough to get around to local spots with a car. Peaceful setting. Log fire. Internet.

Sounds a bit harsh as you can never expect the same facilities as your own home, but the oven hob was pretty old and slow to heat up and the shower had hardly any oomph to it and the bathroom needs updating.

Location and hosts can not be faulted. Very quite location and relaxing. Shower could have been better. We like cooking in and pans etc were adequate but was missing a tin opener.
