Pretty holiday apartment in a semi-detached house in the hills of Lunigiana, on the border with the lively Versilia coast and the beautiful Cinque Terre. The house has two floors with kitchen, large living room on the ground floor, while on the first floor there are three bedrooms, two of which have a bathroom. In front of the living room there is a beautiful covered terrace with a fenced garden, with the possibility of outdoor dining and play equipment for the children. The location is ideal for visiting the park of Montemarcello (33 km), known for its beautiful landscapes, where you can go trekking, canoeing on the river Vara or birdwatching. The small town of Tellaro (29 km), built on the rocks, is famous for its characteristic celebration of the birth of the baby Jesus under water. Nearby is also Portovenere (38 km), the pearl of the Gulf, with its exclusive medieval town centre and its famous grand staircase. You can also visit the beautiful Lerici (27 km) with its castle and take the wonderful walk to the beaches of San Terenzo, beloved by Romantic writers such as Byron and Shelley. Here from Lerici the ferries leave for the beautiful Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore 36 km). La Spezia (22 km) offers a special attraction for lovers of regattas and maritime tradition on the first weekend in August with its Palio del Golfo; here you can watch 13 handmade fishing boats compete against each other for first place on the quay. Equally important is the Festa della Marineria, which takes place in the first days of October (4 days) and celebrates the maritime traditions of La Spezia. Other excursion destinations from the holiday home are Marina di Massa (45 km) and Forte dei Marmi (57 km). Lovers of trekking can hike from the Apuan Alps to Colonnata (50 km), where you can eat the delicious Lardo di Colonnata (bacon). Ligurian cuisine cookery courses are available on request.
