1 bedroom city centre apartment

The view from this apartment, and how close it is to the city centre was amazing. The rooms were nice and tidy and everything worked ok, though the main kitchen light flickered so I just left if off. It had everything you would need for a lovely stay.

This isn't a knock on the apartment in the slightest. Birmingham is one of the noisiest places I've ever been to and on a night its like a city that doesn't sleep. Its peak summer now so I had the windows open and the noise levels outside never stopped. I can sleep through noise ok, but for anyone who cannot I would probably just avoid Birmingham completely 😶 Again though, the apartment was great.

Communication before hand was very good. The apartment itself was exactly what I needed. It could be a really great stay if the issues below are resolved.

Firstly as a solo female traveller it is first and foremost important to feel safe. As the apartment is accessed with a single key (and there will be a number of keys) you need to put a bolt or chain on the inside of the door to make it secure. This is essential. The apartment itself could be excellent but it was a bit grubby and not cleaned to a satisfactory standard. For instance there were hairs on the bathroom floor and I had to clean crockery before using it.
