2 pièces climatisé en duplex avec terrasse

Honestly, I don’t understand why anyone would rate this place with any less than a 10. The location ist perfect in the beautiful old town of Aix, right off Cours Mirabeau. It’s cute and clean. We liked the layout with it having three floors - main living area and kitchen on the middle floor, bathroom a floor beneath and the really cute und cosy bedroom one floor on top, like a tiny penthouse on the roof. The whole place is on the top of an old building which makes for amazing views. You’re right there above most of the roofs of Aix, looking as far as Montagne Ste Victoire and another mountain range. Which brings me to the best part: a lovely little rooftop terrace. You sit up there taking in the beautiful view and can’t stop thinking how beautiful it is! Honestly, it was one of the highlights of our whole trip. We had all our meals up there and didn’t mind carrying all the stuff upstairs and back down again. Another big plus is the excellent air conditioning that really helped us through the first very hot days. There’s one in the living area and one in the bedroom. The owner always answers quickly to questions (we communicated through the Booking-Messenger), which we appreciated. Would book this place again any day.

The only thing I can’t understand is why there is no covering for the lovely rooftop terrace. It’s very sunny up there (nice), you need shade to enjoy it. We ended up buying a cheap fitted bedsheet and craftily built something on our own.

Appartement globalement très sympa, bien situé en plein vieux centre. Agréable en hiver, on n'a pas eu froid du tout. Jolie déco, literie confortable. La vue du salon sur les toits d'Aix, le petit-déjeuner sur le balcon en plein soleil. Calme.

Pas très adapté pour cuisiner : pas de rangement pour les courses, et les odeurs de cuisine imprègnent vite le salon et la chambre (éviter la cuisson à l'huile d'olive !). Deux fuites d'eau lors de notre séjour

The location in the old town is perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the restaurants and bars.

The are 6 flights of 11 stairs each to get to the property. There are then a further 20 steps to get to the kitchen/ lounge ( passing the bathroom on the way ) and a further set of ladder type wooden stairs from kitchen / lounge up to the bedroom . There are no hand rails in the apartment just hanging ropes to hold onto as you descend. You need to be fit , nimble and flexible to stay in this apartment.
