Yannis and Georgia are wonderful hosts, friendly and kind. They met us to show us round and left us fresh Cretan pies and excellent Cretan wine, both of which we much enjoyed on our first night. They also provide good guide books and personal recommendations to eating places.
Their house is wonderful, beautifully designed, spacious and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is very well-equipped, we made most of our meals here. Fantastic showers and excellent A/C throughout the house. The outside seating area is a great place to spend mornings in the sun and late afternoons in the shade, with very comfy outdoor seating plus a table and chairs for work or eating. The neighbourhood cats are a bonus!
The location is great, it’s a quiet, tree-lined residential area, away from the hurly-burly of the central town but within walking distance.

Casa Di Batsi is a beautifully renovated townhouse apartment in a very quiet neighbourhood of Chania, opposite a primary school.
The apartment is traditionally decorated and appointed with a modern twist. All the rooms are beautifully furnished and it feels like a real home. All rooms have independently controlled AC. Three good sized very comfortable bedrooms, one large bathroom, one small bathroom all beautifully designed
Casa Di Batsi also has a lovely terrace at the front of the property which is suitable for relaxing with a glass of wine or enjoying a meal.
Casa Di Batsi is approximately 20 mins walk from Old Town Chania / Venetian Harbour downhill and then 25 mins back to Casa Di Batsi. My wife and I walked it in 12 mins but older guests or those with young children will take more like 20/25 mins. There is a free bus service with a stop near the property which goes to the harbour.
For a short stay in Chania a car is not necessary. However if you want to explore the many beautiful beaches and attractions a car is necessary, and there is in road parking available outside the property.
The owner of the property, Yanni is one of the kindest and helpful hosts you are likely to meet. Even before arriving, Yanni gave us excellent advice and important recommendations regarding beaches, restaurants and attractions. Yanni even organised our car hire for us prior to arriving in Chania with a reliable local company. Even though we arrived at Casa Di Batsi at 23:00, Yanni and his wife were there to welcome us! Wonderful hosts and beautiful accommodation.

The host was the absolute best.. a very charming man who grew up in the property... He was way more than a host, any challenge I gave him he exceeded any expectations, including arranging a sail boat for the day to do an amazing trip of a lifetime. Yanni is a charming lovely man and his wife is equally charming...
Nothing to dislike.... The walk into old port was a little more than 10 mins and was really quite pleasant after over indulging at one of the many excellent restaurants ...

It is absolutely beautiful, clean, and well taken care of. Large comfy beds and multiple showers made our stay very pleasant. The owner greeted us with a nice bottle of wine, along with tasty local treats. Lovely experience, if I'm ever back on the island, will be staying here again.
