Such a lovely time

Relaxing and peaceful stay

Located in the less busy part of the island with a number of restaurants and corner shops close by. Nice pool to relax around with plenty of greenery. Clean rooms with very friendly staff.

Relaxing and just beautiful accommodations.

The staff was amazing- very accommodating and friendly. My transportation was arranged with ferry and shuttle pick up which was seamless. The "hut" was so beautiful and well furnished and the grounds/pool well kept-- definitely a bargain for the price paid. Even with no breakfast, a highly rated Warung is nearby so it was a nonissue.

will have to be very picky to find a fault. Just a suggestion- add a bike to be available to rent in addition to to the motorbikes. In hindsight, I wish I did rent a motorbike to use around the island!

A nice little family run property. The staff were fantastic,always with a smile and nothing is a problem. Nice pool,gardens and good location just around the corner from Mushroom Bay. They arranged a scooter for us, which was great and hassle free.

Big steps down into the bathroom for us oldies but you get used to it.

Wonderful property filled with greenery. Very quiet and a nice, quiet pool to relax.

Everything was great. They are building some new huts but the workers are very respectful of guests and for us the bit of noise was no issue.

Tranquil and a beautiful place to stay

Loved this little slice of laid back paradise.. Gorgeous huts, tranquil and a good sized pool.. Very close to cafes and restaurants, but also great as away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. Nothing was a problem, we hired scooters there which were a great mode of transport. Great place to stay

Good stay with a nice location and a good service

The key strenghts are : - Service, always smiling, willing to help. Fresh orange juice upon arrival. - Location is perfect near to mushroom beach and devil’s tears (and many restaurants around) - Pool is big - Garden is amazing en well maintained - Rooms are spacious enough and comfortable

There are also some weaknesses : - We had 1 out of 2 showers with cold water - Lights flashing in the bathroom (they tried twice to change the lightbulb but not fixing the issue) (and no daylight in the bathrooms) - A lot of mosquitos and some gekos tokai (and their excrements). However, those points are details to continue improving. Our stay was fine and comfy.

Amazing staff and great value for money!

The huts are perfect-lots of thought put into the little bits and pieces on the room. And the pool is always in the sun which is excellent! Mushroom Beach is the perfect location in Lembongan-so central! But the staff are what make it! They are so attentive but unobtrusive. They were incredibly helpful in organizing transport to the island from the airport and back, as well as snorkeling. They are so responsive and kind. Such a great stay!!

Brilliant

This was our 2nd stay at Sunset Star Huts and it was just as beautiful as our 1st trip in 2023. Nyoman the owner has such an eye for detail everything was just perfect. The resort has stunning gardens along with a brilliant swimming pool with everything so well looked after. A special word for the 2 staff Nyoman has working for him Kutut and Putu they do a great job keeping the rooms and resort clean every day. 5 Stars guys. I could definitely recommend this resort for the perfect stay.

Extremely helpful, cheerful staff. Lovely turndown service. Peaceful environment. Good air conditioning and bathrooms. Immaculate grounds. Lots of warungs nearby. Short walk to Mushroom Bay. 9/10 is a high rating for me!

Beach towels were heavily scented with washing powder making them unpleasant to use or lie on. (But not all my group had issue with them.)

Fantastic family retreat on at a laid-back paradise

Fantastic retreat - excellent service. 4 minute from the mushroom beach (with a beautiful restaurant feet in the sands on the left side corner; we also recommend watching the sunset at « hidden beach » next door. We also organised our snorkelling trip on Nusa Penida thanks to the hotel. Highly recommended.

Cute huts in gorgeous grounds and great location

Lovely huts in immaculate grounds just a few minutes walk from Mushroom Beach and its relaxed beach vibe. The staff were lovely and incredibly attentive and helpful in arranging transport and tours. Pool was great for cooling off in. There is no restaurant/ breakfast on site but with so many eating options around this was not a problem.

Lovely traditional, homely, friendly boutique hotel

This was our second year coming to Mushroom Bay and we stayed 4 nights at Sunset Star huts after 3 nights at MolaMola house down on the beach. We decided to split our time so we could be absolute beachfront and then have a nice pool to enjoy. Sunset Star huts is a real gem of a place, just 8 huts, 1-4 brand new and 5-8 just a couple of years old. We were in hut 6 which was wonderful, spacious and stylish in a rustic way, and the balcony was very private due to the mature plantings. The pool area is lovely, clean, cool, a good size and also quite private as the gardens are growing up nicely. As soon as we arrived we felt very comfortable. Our host Nyoman was very welcoming and was assisted by young helpers Ketut and Putu. They all take pride in what they are doing and genuinely want their guests to be happy. Our host even offered to take us down to Jungutbatu beach by motorbike. Of course SS huts doesn’t have a restaurant but there are so many small Warungs close by. Jl Tamerind is a lovely road with a small village feel, and it was a real pleasure to wander down the road for breakfast or dinner. Warung Tumpang Sari right next door was great for dinner, and Rilex Warung was our pick for good coffee and breakfast smoothie bowls. We also liked Indi Warung for awesome happy hour cocktails, but our favourite has to be Soka Warung for traditional food done really well. Sunset Star huts is relaxing, comfortable, great value and stylish without being pretentious, and of course it’s in the best little village by the best beach on the island. We will be back for sure.

Amazing stay for so many reasons. Family run and the service was exceptional, always there to help. Location brilliant , 5 minutes walk to Mushroom Beach, awesome eateries all around that were so tasty and inexpensive. Room serviced twice a day. Pool area so nice. In a nutshell book it if you are lucky enough to get availability

Fantastic place to stay

Sunset star Huts was a fantastic place to stay. Comfortable individual huts around a fantastic pool. The owner and staff were wonderful. Very helpful. They suggested restaurants, we hired motorbikes from them, and they arranged our taxi when we left. We couldn’t be happier with our stay. There are lots of restaurants close by for breakfast lunch and dinner. We went diving with Tamarind Divers which is close by as well.

The perfect stay

A lovely family run business with beautiful personalities to brighten your day 😊 The cleanliness was next level. We loved the location, a short walk to mushroom bay and plenty of good restaurants close by. We had breakfast most mornings just down the laneway at Rilex, good coffee and very good food. Scooter hire at the huts at a very good price. We are already missing our perfect little hut and drinks at the beach ⛱️

Beautiful experience in a local family-owned luxury resort

A family-owned and family-managed small resort with an unbelievable level of warmth and service. Everything was very clean, the pool was wonderful (small birds are around it all the time, lovely!). They even surprised us with a honeymoon gift - a whole cake! It is all run by a local Balinese family, they are all in it.. The father and the son are there all of the time, grandma sometimes comes and helps them out... They are so nice and kind, they take care of every little detail. They clean the rooms 2x per day, which means a minimum of bugs, even though e.g. the bathroom is semi-open. They prepared small toiletries already waiting for us, all of it helped us not have a care in the world. They even helped us organizing the trips, advised good warungs, even drove us to snorkeling. We are thrilled. If we ever come back to Bali, we will come back here for sure.

They could have been clearer about the fact that the drinks from the minibar will be charged for if consumed, including small water bottles. In some of the other accomodations we've been in while on Bali, nothing was charged extra. But don't get me wrong, just like most things in Bali, it's a symbolic small price. To avoid surprises, maybe just ask in advance.

We had a great stay and extended by a day

Almost everything, very comfortable accommodation, super friendly owners and staff , excellent pool, quiet location .Easy walk to beach mini,mart and eateries. Motor cycle hire available from owner for around $8 aud per day .

We loved staying at this property, the attention to detail and the presentation was amazing , the hosts Yoga and Norman and their staff are stars, we have stayed at numerous places in our travels and these guys are a cut above the rest and we will return again.

We see absolutely no reason to not enjoy staying here and believe it to be the best of the best.

Beautiful gardens, large pool and immaculately kept villas, but most of all the friendly nature and services of the owners who genuinely care for their guests and go above and beyond to ensure their guests are happy.

Cute, quiet oasis in Nusa Lembongan

We LOVED our stay at Sunset Star. Yoga and his staff are incredible -- so accomodating, responsive, and kind. The hotel is well maintained, clean, and in a great location. The huts are very cute and private. Our room was comfortable and had A/C, WiFi, and a cute porch. The staff does a great job and adds nice little touches -- they provided water for teeth brushing and set up the bed mosquito nets as part of their turn down service. They also provided amazing recommendations and helped us navigate the island, making our stay even more special. We would absolutely return and recommend this spot!

Great family run hotel - Highly recommended!! 😃😃

We have now been travelling for 5 months and Sunset Star Huts was one of the best places we’ve stayed so far! The huts were really well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The staff (mainly family run) were so friendly and helpful through out our stay, which made it even better. Also, if you get the ferry to Mushroom bay, it is only a short walk from the beach when you arrive. It also has a great selection of restaurants, beach bars and coffee shops a short walk away. We loved out time here, we would highly recommend staying!

Perfect Peaceful Paradise for a week’s trip

Everything great. I’d stay here again and again. Owner obviously worked for top holiday hotels and does things right. Room and property no frills (no spa, restaurant but there’s many a walk away). Room has necessities (kettle, small fridge) and quite large. The bed is so comfortable and large wow the best I’ve slept on in any hotel. LOVE the little porch when it’s breezy- all villas feel private even the porch. The rooms are clean and bed has well designed, roomy mosquito netting. Tiled Bathroom done well, clean and also large- good shower pressure hot and cold. Nice balcony. Lovely small garden with small pool which I didn’t use but the fountain pleasant among the croon of doves and Balinese magpies. Lovely, happy Staff work super hard. You can book to and from taxi anywhere on from Bali inclusive of fast ferry tix and pickup dropoff jetty on Lembongan to hotel, with the owner. Super quick response to any query. Will help book anything. This was Bali 30 years ago. Very nostalgic staying here. A little far from my dive school and main beach but it’s a good thing cos peaceful and quiet. Depending on your hut might get some barking dogs in the night but didn’t bother me overmuch.

Would’ve liked breakfast before going off early diving - No early (before 8am) breakfast nearby or meals at this place. Actually it’s GOOD thing cos the place doesn’t have flies. At all! A few hungry mosquitoes in the evening but the staff loads up villas with burning mosquito coils. A teeny teeeeeeny bit bar music but far off, the live band starts about 6pm and stops by about 8.30PM . Feel sorry for Other hotel stays along this street which suffer from being nearer to that bug, characterless, pointless, nasty loud bar at main corner.

Best on Nusa Lembongan

Attention to detail. Love that there are only 4 huts and alot of love goes into them. Extremely clean, rooms, gardens & pool. The turndown service in the evenings is amazing. Great location. Highly recommend for couples or singles.

The naughty rooster next door at 5am one morning. But you will find this everywhere on the island. Sunset Star Huts is a must stay!

Sunset Star Huts is a beautiful family-run accommodation and absolutely everything was wonderful during our stay. The hosts are seriously some of the nicest and most caring providers we've come across. They also have a lovely garden and pool area and everything in the room is very comfortable and of a high standard. We particularly appreciated the twice or more daily housekeeping!

LOVE THIS PLACE!

Exceptional accommodation, such good energy and so peaceful. Nyoman and family running this beautiful 4 bungalow resort. No breakfast on offer (yet) but plenty of options around and only 4-5 min walk from Mushroom bay. We loved our stay, good value for money, so clean and serene. L'good bar around the corner is great for food and live music! Would definitely return!!
