Location & Convenience: Perfect location if traveling from Denpasar via the Dream Beach Express ferry. It drops off right at Mushroom Beach, which is an easy 7-minute walk to the resort. Charming Rooms: The spacious wooden bungalows set the Balinese holiday mood instantly. The high-ceiling huts come with a cozy canopy bed and mosquito netting. Exceptional Service: The owner and staff treat you like family. They went above and beyond by surprising my wife with a birthday cake after our dinner—a generous gesture we even shared with our next-door neighbour! Pool & Atmosphere: The refreshing swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens offers a peaceful spot to unwind. Great Facilities: Excellent shower water pressure with steady hot water. They also provide thoughtful mosquito repellent incense on the porch and in the bathroom, keeping bugs completely away. Dining Options: While breakfast isn't served on-site, the resort is surrounded by fantastic local warung serving delicious, reasonably priced food. Authentic Vibe: Set in a local village neighborhood, waking up to the sounds of island life (bird chirpings, roosters, dogs, local morning routines) gives it a wonderfully authentic feel. Light sleepers may want to use the earplugs they provide (they even provided nail cutter) for the early morning village sounds (Spotted Dove cuckoo, roosters and neighborhood activity), though we personally found it added to the authentic charm!

Great value accommodation. Rooms were spotless as was the pool. Close to restaurants, bars and only a short stroll to the beach. My wife and I would definitely recommend Sunset Star Huts and would love to stay again in the future. Thanks to Norman and Yoga (the hosts) for a memorable stay.

Locally owned. very good location close to beach and food/bars. Gardens well kept, nice big pool. The housekeeping is very well done. Nyoman and Yoga are amazing hosts. All the staff very friendly. Very affordable!.

What a delightful stay. Immaculately clean little hut, with very thoughtful details and touches included like toothbrushes, torch, shower caps and other personal items. Comfortable bed, great ac and fan, we used the fridge alot. Beautiful gardens and pool area. Nyoman and Yoga are fantastic, so delightful, friendly, helpful and kind. Yoga organised ferry bookings, snorkelling tour and we used their scooters for 3 days which was fun and essential to get around the island. Incredible value for money, and location is great, so close to Tamarind and Hidden beaches and Mushroom beach. Lots of great local food and drinks next door so it's not an issue they don't have a restaurant ( shout out to lovely lady at Rigils for her breakfast smoothies and rolls)and also Mushroom Espresso for coffee). Absolutely 100% recommend Sunset Star huts and would return in a heartbeat.

Not a biggie but we didn't have hot water a couple of times for shower, due to gas going out, but Yoga sorted it quickly.
