Come stay like the locals on the historic Isle of Hope in Savannah, Georgia. The beautifully restored and updated circa 1900 Savannah Slumbers Cottage is located just one block from the Marina and 1/2 a mile from Wormsloe Historic Site. Enjoy walking the charming neighborhood and strolling down Bluff Drive overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Entertain the children by playing on the nearby playground just steps from your rental home.
Savannah Slumbers Cottage is a 2 story cottage with front porch boasting rocking chairs and a swing nestled under the live oaks, sure to please your southern needs.
Inside the home you will find the large cozy living room with fireplace and original hardwood floors leading to the beautifully renovated entertainers kitchen with a Viking stove and Subzero fridge and freezer. The dining room with farmhouse table compliments the kitchen perfectly. For the kids or kids at heart, a den featuring all your favorite vintage arcade games, board games and a Large TV.
There are 5 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms which can easily accommodate up to 9 persons. Each bedroom has the highest quality memory foam mattress for your slumber. A full bath is located upstairs while the 2nd full bath is located in the downstairs master bedroom. There’s also a half bath downstairs for your convenience.
2 bedroom are downstairs, great for those needing no stairs, and 3 bedrooms are upstairs.

*Since it is a historic home, please note the ceiling heights upstairs are considerably lower and should be considered before booking. Please be mindful of the stairway as well with its authentic 1900 staircase and small treads.
Stepping onto the back deck you’ll be shaded by moss draped live oak trees. It’s the shade life! There’s an outdoor shower and a grill for your bbq needs. So many hangout areas for your family and friends to spread out and be comfortable. The owners private artist cottage is at the rear of the property. Access is rarely needed.
Decorating the walls of this one of a kind home you will find local artwork which you too can purchase and have shipped home as a memorable souvenir of your time in Savannah. The owner of Savannah Slumbers is an artist and is plugged into the local art scene of Savannah as a photographer and painter herself.
Isle of Hope offers many wonderful restaurants and the best bakery in Savannah only 3 minutes away. Several are highly recommended. Ask us our favorites!
Wormsloe Historic Site is our of history here on Isle of Hope. The gates and live oak canopy entering the site are breathtaking. Take a tour to get a full understanding of how Isle of Hope played a huge roll in the Savannah, Georgia we all love today.
Skidaway Island State Park is a close 15 minutes away. Cross over the famous “Moon River”, known by Johnny Mercer’s beloved song. Kayaking, walking trails, fishing, and so much to do on the islands.
UGA Marine Education Center & Aquarium on Skidaway Island are a must to learn about the waterways you’ll grow to love as we do.
Savannah’s Landmark Historic District is only a 15 drive for a day or night of the downtown life.

One of the best long weekends I have ever had. The property was immaculate and "an updated time portal to the past" is the best way I can explain it. I will definitely go back to this property.

Adorable historical home located in a desirable location on Isle of Hope. The kitchen is beyond well equipped! Its a chefs delight! Comfortable rooms with ample space for guests to hang out. Plenty of parking and just a short walk to the Bluff. Only suggestions would be to place potentially tv's in the bedrooms and soil or gravel around the pavers in the back. We're all over 60 and a couple people tripped. Could just be age related :) Would definitely book this beautiful home again!!

This is our second stay at this beautiful Isle of Hope Gem. Probably the best equipped kitchen we have ever seen.

We chose this property based on its excellent location, proximity to SCAD, charm & listed amenities, specifically the outdoor shower & hot tub. The property’s two downstairs bedrooms were perfect for older guests.
Location- Excellent! It allows for easy, drives/transfers to downtown. A Lyft was $17. The tree lined streets, covered in Spanish Moss, are breathtaking; the neighborhood is walkable & gives an air of safety.
Charm- The house is beautifully decorated & the kitchen is high end. Furniture & appliances were obviously chosen w/care. The backyard is idyllic; if the mosquitoes would have left, we could have enjoyed it more. But, this is Savannah in the summer; mosquitoes are to be fully expected.
Amenities-This was the disappointing portion of our stay. My daughter was the only child; as a water lover, she was looking forward to the hot tub & outdoor shower as were many of us. Unfortunately, we didn’t see a hot tub-this should be removed from the listing. The outdoor “shower” enclosure, while cute, private & the perfect size for showering/dressing, had not been cleaned in a very long time. It was filled w/old, thick worm nests, spiders/webs, old leaf debris, a chair & kids toys. As another reviewer stated, the back deck & furniture should be cleaned before new guests arrive. The front porch on the other hand was exceptional & a highlight for our family. I’d definitely recommend a stay, just know the water amenities are not there/as expected.
