This property is in a great location!! It was very clean and the outdoor shower was a hit. The only downside was there were no toiletries provided.

This adorable cottage is in the perfect location to the port restaurants and shops. We walked every day and evening into town. The beach is very close as well. The road is a little busy so you have to be careful backing out of the driveway. The furnishings in the house are much moreUpdated than the photos suggest which was a nice surprise. I suspect that we were the first renters of the season as the toiletry amenities were absent (toilet paper, hand soap, etc). We ran to the store to get those and some laundry and dish detergent our first day to remedy that. There are at least 3 knobs/pulls on the kitchen cabinets that need replacing to make them accessible. One drawback is that the best room in the house (a 2nd floor rec room/man cave) is only accessible from the master bedroom so it was unusable. It would be a great room if you have small kids and want them close by but not in the bedroom. The backyard and front patio are very nice spaces to relax and enjoy the outdoors w/ both shady and sunny areas and beautiful flowers. Whether you are first time visitors to Kennebunk or regulars like us, this house is a warm and quaint spot to check out all the sights.

This property has so much potential to get a 5 star rating! We give it 3.5 stars. First, the pictures on this listing do not reflect the property completely. The current furnishings of the house are not the furnishings pictured. I suspect there are new owners and the pictures are from an old listing. There is less furniture than shown, meaning we had to pull chairs from another room to be able to have our whole group convene. Far less decor than pictured - empty curtain rods, nothing on the walls, felt sparse. It has a sense of just not being finished yet. The house has high end finishes but cheap furniture and things falling apart like the gate latch, the towel rack hanging off the wall and many of the kitchen nobs broken off. The unit was well stocked in many ways, including laundry detergent and beach chairs. And at the same time some obvious conveniences were missing like clocks and a trash can in the master bathroom. The house is a close walk to town which is great! But what the photos don't show is that the house is located on an extremely busy road which is very loud. And with no curtains on the front of the house, it lacked privacy, especially at night. The check in processes was easy, however the emails we received were not accurate. It said that linens were not provided so we rented them. When we arrived, the master bedroom had linens which we could use. Overall, there needs to be much more accuracy with this listing. An adorable place, just needs a bit more.
