About this cabin rental
Cozy cabin in a central location. Wifi. Access to amenities such as hot tub, pools, gym, tennis, golf, and beach.
The space
Our cabin is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom two-story house. The downstairs area has a cozy living space and is open to the large and well-equipped kitchen and dining area. You’ll find all the appliances you need and lots of counters and cabinet space. There are two bedrooms downstairs, the master bedroom with a desk and ensuite bathroom, as well as a queen bedroom. There is a second full bathroom on the main floor with a washer & dryer.
Upstairs you’ll enter an open loft area with toys, two Nugget couches, and a large-screen TV (streaming services & Samsung TV only). A perfect place to play and unwind. There are two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs as well. One of the rooms has a queen bed, and the other is a bunk room with a bunk bed and a full-size bed. You’ll also find a pack-n-play with sheets in the bunk room closet.
In the backyard, you’ll enjoy an unobstructed view of nature. In winter you can make a great sledding hill and in summer a nice place to explore the outdoors. In the summer you can fire up the BBQ and enjoy a meal outside or relax on the outdoor furniture while the kids search for pinecones and treasures.
Guest access
This cabin is a perfect gateway to adventure. In the winter, you are within 20 minutes of world-class skiing at Palisades (formerly Squaw Valley), Northstar, and Sugar Bowl. Or, if you’re new to snow sports, you might be more comfortable at Tahoe Donner Downhill (a 7-minute drive from the cabin) or Soda Springs.
In summer, you will have access to a private beach at Donner Lake, where you can play in or on the water with your paddleboard, kayaks, and more. There are countless incredible hiking trails throughout the area. Located just 4 miles from downtown Truckee, if outdoor sports aren’t your thing, or you need a break, you’re at the doorstep of great coffee, bars, restaurants, and local shopping.
Right in the Tahoe Donner area, you will have access to two rec centers with swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, gyms, and more. There are also tennis courts, a golf course, cross-country skiing trails, snow play, and hiking.

Other things to note
Use of Tahoe Donner facilities and private beach requires an additional fee - that fee is discounted with the guest passes provided in the cabin. Blackout dates: MLK, Presidents, Memorial, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving weekends + between Christmas & New Year.
One parking spot is available inside the garage with room for 3 cars on the driveway.
No pets are allowed on the property.

We loved our stay at Michelle’s place. Three families (6 adults, 4 kids aged 10 and under). It was super clean and comfortable with a good amount of space for us all for the weekend. The decor was clean and uncluttered, without being charmless or cold. Everything worked great and we would love to stay again! I especially appreciated the guest access to the Tahoe Donner rec center and pool, while everyone else was on the slopes. Thanks, Michelle!

Everything about our stay was great. Michelle was a lovely host and the house was perfect. Everything was clean and both coffeemaker and toaster were an upgrade from some of the other places we've stayed. There was plenty of dishes and silverware for the 9 of us. The grandkids had a great time playing in the snow right behind the house. So nice to have 3 bathrooms with our large group. Highly recommended!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to come up one day late and had to cut our trip short by 2 days on the backend due to the incoming storm. So our 4 night booked trip turned into just one night at this home. However, we could not have been happier with this home for the short time we were there. It's beautiful and spacious and was more than enough room for the 3 adults and 4 kids we had on our trip. Michelle, the owner was very communicative and very kind. We highly recommend her home to others and would absolutely stay there again in the future. We were lamenting having to leave early, but glad we were able to beat the storm home!
