About this cabin rental

Newer custom cabin located in the lower Tahoe Donner valley. Close to Northstar, Alpine, Squaw Valley, Sugar Bowl, Boreal and Tahoe Donner Ski Resort. Golf and Tennis courts are a couple of minutes away, Reserve your Tee times and Court times. Plenty of space to play in the snow in our backyard!!! You can even do some sledding there too!! Downtown Truckee is just minutes away.

Vaulted ceilings create an open living area which include the kitchen, dining table for 8 and family room with custom fireplace. LCD TV with cable service and stereo receiver with mp3 input cable ready for your ipod(upstairs). Adults can hang out upstairs and kids downstairs. 2800 sq.ft. of living space!!

This house has ample space and it's well equipped for a great family getaway. We enjoyed a nice long weekend in the snow with another family and never felt crowded. The kids were able to sled within sight. The kitchen had the right supplies to cook some great meals.Garage parking and snow removal service allowed us to go directly from the house to the ski slope ready to go. The hosts went above and beyond for check-in and check-out to ensure our trip was a success.We had a blast and would recommend this house to any families looking for a getaway.

We had a pleasant experience staying here. There were some complications initially getting into the property, with some delayed communication. It turned out to be a dead battery in the automated lock. This was an easy fix. House was clean, provided all necessary items, minus toiletries and garbage bags. Not a major problem. Overall would recommend. Note, the driveway is a bit steep.

The pictures do not do this place justice. This home is gorgeous and spacious! Kitchen stocked with everything you’d need, which is such a huge help for those who like to cook meals Rather than going out, like us. The owners are very responsive and the entire process from booking to departure was smooth. Definitely a place we would love to stay again. Thank you so much for the use of your home!!!!

This is my overall impressions of the house and our stay: Likes: Clean Good location Kitchen is well equipped (Except for the fact there were only 3 wine glasses and 4 bowls) Lots of comfortable parking, room for at least 3 vehicles Lots of outdoor space Plenty of towels and blankets Check in/out was seamless The electric fireplaces are easy to use and warmed up the rooms quickly Very kid friendly Dislikes: Only room for 4 people on couches when the house is advertised as for 8+ adults Beds are uncomfortable, need new mattresses No streaming and the wifi can be unstable at times Lacked some basic cleaning necessities; there was laundry detergent but no dishwasher tabs, cleaning spray, or rinse agent and the dishwasher needed it the day we arrived Cabin is described as “newer, custom, modern” and while it has enough space it is not new, custom or modern We did have a great time, and would recommend the house.

The house was great. Chester was easy to communicate with and responded in a timely manner. My only recommendation would be that some of the beds could use a topper to help make them a bit more comfortable. Thanks for a fun weekend.

First of all cabin was way nicer then the pictures showed. Very clean and comfortable. Close to stampede reservoir which has excellent fishing. Kitchen stocked well and game room was awesome. Very satisfied

We enjoy the Tahoe-Donner area and this home was amazing. There are 4 bedrooms that fit our large multigenerational family of 5 adults and 2 children easily. The large open living, dining, and kitchen are was perfect and included a deck & fireplace. Downstairs was a pool table for more family fun. You will not be disappointed staying here.

The check-in process and accessibility was great. The cabin is on a busy street so you have to be watchful if you're walking on the road. One of the beds, which we used, had 4 socks under the covers. This lead us to consider the bed linen was not changed from the previous renter.

It’s a clean and very spacious house that’s perfect for a family gathering. Plenty of beds, large and functional kitchen, quick access to Truckee amenities. Not fancy or over-the-top. Be aware that there are many stairs, and the driveway is quite steep. Older or mobility challenged guests may not like this place. And if your car is a bit low, it’ll definitely give you the scrapes. Overall, the place is great for a family gathering.

Easy check in and great location. Fast access to Sugar Bowl and the recreation center. The recreational center with the hot tub & pool is $16 a person for the day though

Perfect house for two families. We had kids downstairs and adults upstairs. the open kitchen dining living area is just perfect for everyone to be comfortable over dinner, drinks and game night. New pillows would make it perfect but we would return!

This cabin is amazing. Very well kept and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is equipped with high quality cookware and all the condiments. The open kitchen with a large countertop was perfect to cook meals together. We did sledding on the hill right in the backyard of the cabin and had a lot of fun. The location was perfect. Just 20 minutes drive to Squaw Valley. We had a great time at the cabin and highly recommend it.

The host was very responsive to questions. We would stay here again! The house was spacious for 3 families (6 adults, 3 kids). The kids enjoyed sledding and playing in the backyard. The pool table was a plus after a long day in the snow. The kitchen had the basic cooking essentials.

Great house in a great location

We went up to Truckee just after the big December snowstorms. Our visit was delayed by a few days because of road closures and the prior renters being stuck at the house due to the record snowfall. Chester was very helpful and communicative during this time and eventually we were able to make it there. The house is great. It is very large, clean and nicely appointed - it was even better than the pictures. It can easily accommodate two families (i.e. 8 people). The location and neighborhood are great and close to everything we needed & wanted to do. My only suggestion is that the beds & bedding could use an upgrade to make it a truly excellent experience. We would consider booking it again in the future!

We enjoyed our stay here! Great location to the shops etc in Truckee and Donner Lake. Home was clean and neat. And it was very spacious. We went in June and it was very warm. Unfortunately, there was no A/C. But then, we’ve been in several mountain homes without it. Propane grill was tiny but worked well! Loved having the pool table......

This home was a great place to stay and fantastic location! It is extremely spacious and more than enough room for two families. There was already a sledding hill made, so the kids had a blast with that. The only issue we had was the toilet downstairs. It got backed up quite a bit, but we were able to manage during our stay. Oh, and we were warned about bears, but ironically, you should be worried about a neighborhood golden retriever running around shredding your sleds to pieces! In all, we had a great vacation at this location!

My family was very happy and comfortable here. Very spacious, comfy , nice and pretty clean(but I’m always worried about cleanliness when staying elsewhere) I was content. We only stayed for two nights so Even though the washer wasn’t working it wasn’t a big inconvenience because they had extra towels. Would definitely stay again!

House was as advertised and was great for our group. Neighborhood is always fantastic. The downstairs plumbing was stopped up in the bathroom but with two bathrooms upstairs we were able to share and it did not slow us down. Owners were very easy to communicate with. Will definitely stay here again.
