About this cabin rental
Year round fun awaits at Bernese's Bungalow! This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in the lower half of Tahoe Donner, only 10 minutes from downtown Truckee and Donner Lake, and 20 minutes to all major ski resorts and north Lake Tahoe.
Enter the home through the front door and mud room into the main living space. The great room area offers two sitting areas: one centered on the gas fireplace and another around the flat-screen TV with a DVD player and streaming device. Other highlights include updated hardwood floors, a remodeled kitchen, a dining table that seats 6, and a breakfast bar that seats 4. A back door from the dining space leads to a large, sunny deck, equipped with a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture (summer only for the deck). Down the hall on the main floor, a shared bath with a bathtub and shower combo and a bedroom are offered. The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, desk and full size closet.
Upstairs, you'll find the main bedroom floor and an additional bathroom. On opposite sides of the floor, you'll find one king and one queen bedroom, both offering lots of windows and vaulted ceilings, for plenty of natural light. In the middle of the floor is the shared bath with a bathtub and shower combo, and a double sink vanity. Opposite the bathroom is a spacious bunk room with two twin bunks and plenty of space for kids to hang out. This floor is rounded out by a full sized washer and dryer in the laundry room. The garage fits one Subaru or similar size vehicle, and you can access the home with the keypad for easy access during storms.

This is a great family-friendly cabin close to Truckee. Our 3 generation family of 9 enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner there. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our dinner and to store our leftovers. There were plenty of games for all to play and a dusting of snow to enjoy outside. Our two grand-dogs were welcomed which made the trip that much more enjoyable. We hope to return.

Kitchen, common area was very inviting to hangout and play cards as well as a mat for the dog bowls. My dog absolutely loved to hang out on the deck with us, the only issue with the deck is there wasn’t a railing for my elderly mother to use to go up/down the stairs. Parking was a bit challenging if you have multiple cars, parking is not allowed on the street, we had to play musical cars a few times to get the car out of the garage.

The home and area are lovely, and the process was very organized. Having access to Tahoe Donner Recreation Center and Marina was really great and worth the daily fee. Thank you!

Check-In was super easy and the house was clean. Kitchen was nice; pots/pans could be updated and a Keurig would have be SO nice!
