Uncomfortable at the least

I’m a really good customer of booking.com and my stay here has been absolutely awful I hardly spent time at the property because I have spent time with my sick grandma. Whilst being here the landlord constantly watches you he blamed me for some marks which looks like someone overcooked something in the kitchen he constantly texts you reminding you of when your check is and when you have to leave. My room has not been cleaned once in my whole stay as the cleaner just rushes to get away! All in all it has been such a waste of my money and I am deeply disappointed. Not long ago I booked at the harbour and did not even get a refund now this! I really want some compensation from booking.com now or I’m forced to take this higher, it is absolutely not on for someone like myself who is disabled and relies on the small amount of money that I receive from PIP and universal credit.

Azeem accomodated my needs which were unique to me. He agreed for my stay to be a day stay instead of a night stay. I was exhaused coming from a very long night shift and could not drive home. I took a chance with Azeem because of his previous reviews. Azeem was very polite and he responds to calls and message at the speed of lightening. Never experinced anything like it. My sleep was absolutely comfortable and the shower was great. At first I was sceptical about the shared bathroom arrangement but, the cleaner and the people I was sharing with kept the bathroom prestine.

Facilities done well, excellent value for money. First choice for my next visit.

Tea and coffee makings in the shared kitchen meant real milk (ideal), not those tiny UHT pots; I took an insulated travel mug so no risks taking hot drinks to my room. I found the bed very comfortable and would have slept through but for lights being left on (see below).

(Minor and not the fault of the accommodation) Inconsiderate guests leaving the landing lights on at night which shone through the transom window above my bedroom door, breaking my sleep. Possible solutions could be to blank that window out or to fit auto time-out light switches (would also save electricity too).

Decent place.

The owner was very helpful, which I really appreciated.

There is a street light outside the window of the room that I stayed in. I covered the window as much as I could with the clothes that I had, but light still got through.

Not sure if I liked the CCTV telling me I was being recorded but maybe it’s a legal requirement and not sure about the gruff tenant on the ground floor.

A good homestay for a stopover enroute.

This was a good homestay location although getting access required a code. Did manage to obtain this eventually as came on a previous e-mail and not on the day of the stay.

No personal contact at the location although the self service did work okay. No breakfast available but this was met by full use of the kitchen.

It was a great set up for someone on a budget.

For the price I was not expecting 5 star luxury. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It was a basic but very comfortable and clean room with everything I needed whilst I was on a training course. The fan was much appreciated.

Nice clean room with great facilities, friendly host. Off road parking. Fantastic value for money. Shop over the road for drinks etc. We really liked the Italian Pizza takeaway round the corner as well. What's not to like? Highly recommended.

A great property for a stay in Southampton without breaking the budget. Rooms were good size and comfortable. Shared bathroom was spotless and no problem. Kitchen too. Bus stop a short walk to get to the town or close enough to the Port (with a change) and i don’t mind walking.. it was all flat from the end of bus route 19. Served us extremely. Good pub across the road as well as off license.

Clean, quaint and cosy. Shared bathroom very clean, just outside the bedroom door. Our other room had a basin. Communal sitting room which was nice and kitchen for tea and coffee, or cooking if you want. Fridge too. Handy pub across the road and convenience store. Short walk to buses into city centre and docks area.

Clean, bright self catering stay with quiet room.

Clean bright room - spacious. Self check-in worked well. Host written instructions very clear. Host helped me established wi-fi connection via telephone so I was able to have my on-line meeting. Very pleased. Self catering kitchen was great - clean. Plenty of room. Bumped into to a few of the other guests in there and exchanged travel experiences. Reminded me of my Youth Hostelling days. Off street parking great bonus.

Southampton Success

Great spacious room with a TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime. Several parking spaces out front so now parking issues. The owner is a great communicator so check in is a breeze. Amenities literally on the door step and easy to get into the city Centre.

No complaints here. I wished the A334 was 2/3 lanes but that's a government problem.

The host was very helpful and welcoming. The kitchen facilities were very much appreciated, a real plus feature and the room was bigger than expected. Everything was clean. A real gem for the price. I felt confident leaving my car overnight.
