Very good for walking from, no driving was ever necessary, simply put your boots on and go from the door. Charming cottage, with comfortable beds, well heated. Everything worked.

Lacked basic kitchen utensils and table ware, such as potato peeler, and sensible glasses for example, but we got by. Local eggs are availble, and this could be added to the house notes.

This locatrion is excellent - although it is on a fairly busy walkers path.

I am quite happy to stay in a house of this rough and ready standard - but it should be priced accordingly. This cottage is in very poor condition and without a doubt has not been decorated for over ten years - I think longer. Basics such as cleanliness are loavking: cleaning the windows is not undertaken, skirting boards hanging off, broken furniture. There is flaking and mouldy paint everywhere. The toilet leaks. The cooker markings were worn off so that you had to guess how to work it. There are no cleaning apparatus - such as a vaacum or long brush and one must get down on hands and knees to sweep up with a dustpan and brush. Doors and windows need replacing and fit badly. For this price I believe this is poor value as I rented a property close by last year and it was in spanking condition. As I say none of these things are a big problem - but it is way over priced. The location is superb and views from the house are excellent. A red squirrel visited the small garden each day. This is a wonderful location to walk from.
